This video perfectly sums up Bryce Young/Carolina IMO

Entire Panther team is all together getting ready for their drive to start.  This is the 13:26 minute mark in the second quarter.   Well, except for one player off by himself.  It's Bryce uniquely separated from the group just chilling.

What do you think Bryce is doing? Hyping up teammates? Getting on the same page for the upcoming drive?

Nah, he is consumed w/ the Jaguars jumbotron and the silly games they are showing the fans.   What happens his very FIRST pass of that drive? Interception where he doesn't see the S streaking down right in front of him.

Bryce played really bad in my opinion. Timing was off everywhere. Even screens. Not sure watching the jumbotron during a commercial break was the reason. That's kinda reaching.

Well, it's not a super serious post.

But yeah, it is sort of fitting......Bryce is solo just watching a shell game on the jumbotron away from all his teammates....and the first thing he does that drive when asked to do something was immediately throw a pick.

Not really the definition of "dialed in" lol.  And the immediate pick just is the comedy icing on that cake.

Tone is set better at some high schools around town IMO.

Honestly the timing stuff was so consistently bad it seemed intentional.   It was the same every single play.  Casual huddle, break at 15 seconds, get lined up with 7 seconds, read the defense, then try to put the players in motion with 3 seconds, snap the ball at 0 seconds.   It was the same timing basically every single snap of the game besides a few hurry up plays that actually worked and had some rhythm.  It was so consistent that it crossed my mind that the last second shifts and motions might have been intentional to confuse the defense or something,  but all it did was ruin our timing and throw everything off.

Cam liked to be outside the huddle to hear the talk in his ear and think. He also had to work on getting into the huddle, breaking the huddle and getting to the line with more time. Not a huge issue when compared to the rest of the issues he is facing.

With those other issues and the level of coaching being seen it's all nitpicking a pile of poo.

Nobody would care about this if he was playing well. I think the clips that sum up Bryce the best are the litany of clips that show him playing like dog poo. That's all I really care about

Watch the jumbotron looking like a middle schooler all you want as long as you deliver when it's go time.

Bryce isn't gonna lean on his athleticism to make himself right. He needs presnap reads and protection adjustments. This team is really young/inexperienced.

It's kinda the equivalent of playing on your phone at work when you're supposed to be dialed in and in the moment lol. Even though JJ had a rough start yesterday I was really jealous of how he seemed to not lose composure and obviously locked in during the halftime break and came out in the 2nd half looking like a different guy and a leader. When BY sucks he sucks the whole game every time.

I mean, he just isn’t a NFL QB and for whatever reason we are doing the Matt Rhule season 3 thing with Bryce.  Everyone should know what is coming but here are…..just doing it and wasting everyone’s time for no real good reason.

Rhule still had his folks entering that pointless year too.   But most knew it was over before it started in reality

    • To be fair, I kind of like Bo but he was BAD this past weekend.
    • What I noticed was Tmac running free on deep routes a lot. Can we just get PJ or Hooker to throw go routes on every play for the rest of the season? It would be more exiting than this current mess.
    • We're all aware of the frustrating Week 1 for Carolina, but there's reasons to see Arizona as a possible get-right game. While this will be Zona's home opener (requiring the team to travel out west), they were barely able to hold on to a lead against the hapless Saints who got a chance to tie the game up with 2min left that ended at the ARI 18. Kyler Murray was 21/29 with 2 passing TDs but for only 163yds (5.6yd AVG) and a QBR of 50.9 (RTG 108.8). He was also sacked five times for 33yds. Meanwhile, Spencer Rattler went 27/46 and was sacked just once for 6yds. Kyler also carried the ball seven times for 38yds. James Conner struggled to get going (12 carries, 39yds) but Trey Benson had a good day thanks to a 52yd scamper (8 carries, 69yds). Arizona has weapons in MHJ and McBride, but the CBs have been playing well enough for McBride to be the true focus of the defense. MHJ had a good game though against the Saints, so hopefully Jaycee + Mike Jackson can disrupt that connection. The Cardinals also aren't a disciplined team... with an opportunity to put the Saints away they gave up a TFL and a holding penalty before having the field goal attempt blocked. Their OL suuuuucks at run blocking and got better pass blocking from their TEs in week 1 than they did from any OL except for Paris Johnson Jr. Isaiah Adams and Hjalte Froholdt especially had issues as did Jonah Williams. If the Panthers' revamped DL can't get pressure against them it might be worth giving the alarm a pull.
