Exactly. If we fire Canales within two years, the only options that would come here would be coaches that likely wouldn't sniff a HC elsewhere (like a longtime position coach/associate head coach) or a retread like Mike McCarthy or Bill Belichick. We won't be in consideration for anybody with options. -

I think one of the contributing factors was he was not playing against NFL caliber level players every position, every down, every week. Alabama had an advantage most weeks on the field. In the NFL that gap in talent is much smaller, and that makes judging the ability for college players to transition to the NFL so much harder.
