Bryce has two bad mistakes early but settled down after that and had us within a touchdown of winning the game after a twenty point deficit. Trying to explain that away is silly.

Is he "the guy"? I'm not convinced of that, but I'm gonna look at it objectively rather than hyperbolically.

Arizona could not have giftwrapped the game any more than they did and he still didn't get it done, full stop. They actually made it even easier for Carolina to win than they did last year.

With that said, the only thing that matters is abundantly clear that Bryce is not a franchise QB, the only relevant standard of performance. These posts about the worst ever are hyperbolic but he is very clearly not a guy that elevates those around him. It is time to move on.

I can’t give out any more pie today, but this is worth pie. Well said

Not just hyperbolic, but short sighted...

I know there are some who believe if we just replace Bryce with a competent quarterback everything will be great. I see waaayyy too many other issues to believe that.

Young isn't always bad, and even when he is bad he's getting plenty of help to lose games.

Agreed that there are a laundry list of things wrong. However, improving QB and everywhere else are not mutually exclusive and should not be viewed as such. They are interrelated but if anything, getting the right QB in place should always be the top priority in today's NFL.

Every quarterback who gets hailed for 4th quarter comebacks does so because their team was losing.

We came within a drive of just such a moment today.

I agree to an extent. Hell, it was one of the most frustrating things of the Rivera Era. We all saw what happened in the divisional round against Seattle and Rivera at least didn’t replicated it in the conference final against the Cardinals. We never let off the gas that game.

Today the Cardinals defense was extra soft and for much longer than I would have expected to see. I think a big reason was because of how many injuries they suffered in their secondary.

We have to understand the difference between 'losing' as in keeping pace with the other team throughout the game and going toe to toe to come back and win.

Not a lot of quarterbacks are mounting 20+ point comebacks week in and week out. Especially the ones who get hailed for 4th quarter comebacks.

And if and one of the series of fluke events doesn't happen, it's an entirely moot point anyway.

It took Kyler tossing that braindead interception, Arizona having multiple members of their secondary get injured and making a stunningly stupid call on that 3rd down heave down the field to stop the clock following by being completely inept on the inside kick, all the whole playing the softest coverage possible only rushing 4, and THEN gifting Carolina multiple first downs via penalties on that last drive for this to even be a discussion. Carolina has no control over that of course but to imply that Bryce or Carolina in general somehow worked competitive magic tonight back into the game vs AZ actively sabotaging their chances of winning is not at all reflective of what actually happened.

Watching the highlights, I noticed 56 is ass.

Misses tackles consistently.

Too slow in coverage.

Can’t shed blocks.

Over pursues tackles.

He is so bad. I mean on a fuging poo team he stands out as being pure poo.

David Mayo is laughing into his Gin and Tonic watching that guy play.

All I know is my Rams homie texted me the moment we signed him and said "thank you". Told me all I needed to know.

to be fair, as bad as we think we are.. We know Arizona would try to gift us a win even if we looked horrific. Don't know why but Carolina just has their number for some reason (Outside of Jake's horrific playoff game)

I honestly can not recall ever seeing anything like that final drive. Maybe the Deangelo Hall meltdown back in 2007.

For this top tier O-Line, run game looks sluggish and stifled. Dowdle looks like hot garbage, and Hubbard has to work really hard to get any daylight.

Coaching I feel is a huge weakness all the way around.

Love T Mac.

Nick Scott sucks ass, seemingly out of position on all the big plays.

I’m miserable
