Tankathon: Where we stand on draft position…..

This should probably be pinned. Just like every year, all hope is lost 4 games into the season. This will be ongoing, but we currently hold the number 8 overall pick. It is extremely likely that we will end up much higher, as I don’t see many winnable games unless we make a change to the burnt out red rocket.

You're gonna drive yourself crazy focusing on draft position this early. This is a long, hard slog and spoiler alert... we're gonna win just enough throwaway games post-Thanksgiving to knock us into the bottom portion of the top 10 and give the copers hope that Bryce has turned the corner again.

You can set your calendar by it. The teams true colors is evident by game 4 or 5.

You can already circle that week 18 game against Tampa as a W.  They'll be sitting everyone.

My early take is that it's going to be extremely hard to break into the top 3. We are bad, but Titans, Jets, Saints are horrid.

I hope we finish 7-10 just to spite the tankers. Draft position doesn’t mean a damn thing if nobody wants to coach here or come here from Free Agency. 
 

It means you also need to have people make the correct pick.

If there's no hope in the season then there's at least some kind of hope in the draft.

If this the easy stretch then lawd help us. It just so happens we play our fellow bottom feeders the first few games of the season.
