It’s a good question I’m just so tired of not trusting the same guy who has shown he’s not capable. The team showed up to play today and Young almost squandered their effort.

It’s far more likely Young shits the bed next week especially if it’s on the road. There’s no potential left to unlock. I’m just so tired of it. I’m tired of waiting for him to turn the ball over or panic, or both.

I don't disagree but whom will we put ahead of him that isn't worse than Young is at times.

Bryce undeniably has a comeback spirit to him. But the reality is he lacks the physical tools for us to compete. Today's win was on Dowdle, but frankly the only reason this was competitive to begin with was Bryce.

We need to move on after this year. He's Jake Delhomme, without the arm.

You have to win in spite of him and generally need something absurd to happen to find a win

Wins

one of the biggest QB implosions of the year by Penix to gift us game (Bryce still stunk)

career performance by Rico paired with the best defense on the season (Bryce still stunk)

Losses

Bryce stunk

In summary Bryce stinks and it’s unfair to his teammates at this point.

Find a new team. We dont shyt on wins.

I’m not saying Bryce is great. But… wasn’t there an impressive stat last year regarding his tight window throw success rate?

Why would you trust PFF, a gambling outfit designed to sway the sports betting market to make its shareholders money?

Just remembered as I watched Drake Maye just make a super heady play on that last drive, 3rd down, Bills had used all their timeouts, the Bills blitzed, forced Maye out of the pocket, all of the receivers were covered up downfield, Maye scrambles, thinks about throwing it, you can see it, then he tucks it, gains a couple of yards and takes a bit of a hit to stay in bounds, go down, and run the game clock down to 20 seconds by the time NE attempts the GW FG.  Super smart play.

meanwhile, out super processor attempted to call a timeout today when we didn’t have one left.  Again, this win, as almost all of our wins since he was drafted, was in spite of him.

Statistics, even when they can be molded, still are applied equally across all QBs. He was shown to stand out in that metric. The eye test also showed zero separation last year which would mean a lot of completions would come from a tight window.

When I see Tua play, I see Bryce in 5 years. I think that's Bryce's ceiling. Will his lack of athleticism, he won't be a top NFL QB ever. And just like Tua, he'll need a good to great O-line and star receivers to make it work.

Personally I would rather take a chance on a rookie that has the potential to be great, like Drake Maye appears to be, not a point guard QB that can't elevate the players around him.

I understand that some fans like Bryce, maybe because he isn't the typical alpha male QB or because he's so small, but in my opinion he's better suited as a backup QB that can come in the game when needed and you pray he doesn't turn the ball over. Yes he makes some good throws but he also makes some really dumb decisions

If you come away from this game thinking you need to Bench Bryce you’re crazy. He’s wildly inconsistent, but was a contributor in the winning of this game.

Without his two turnovers this was easily a 2+TD win. Rico Dowdle cleaned up his mess.

Dalton wins this game by 20+ points

2 bad teams played yesterday and one lost. Both teams are still bad today. Bryce is a big part of that. It wouldn't have been a close game if DC would have just gone rage rushing from the start.

The Panthers would look so much better with just decent QB play. No way to avoid that fact.

    • Maybe it's because I played LT until some fat fug folded my knee, but I love watching footwork drills at the combine for olinemen. I call it fat man ballet. Base and balance are everything when it come to being a lineman. Everything starts there. Sure there's lateral movement, hip flex, bend, hand fighting, strength, push, etc, but without a strong base and good balance, the rest aren't happening. Those drills are specifically designed to show you things and they stand out big time if you're watching their feet and ankles. You can tell what doesn't feel like a natural movement. I remember watching Greg Little and I was blown away at how bad his footwork was. Like unbelievably bad. To the point I thought maybe he had never practiced one of these drills before. I remember when we drafted him, I thought to myself well fug, there's a wasted pick.  Aside from the added weight, I wonder if that's part of why Bryce didn't throw. Standing next to all the other QBs, that footwork and mechanics would stand out like a sore thumb, much more so than at a pro day. Bryce is good at some things, improvising and eluding and he does appear to have that clutch gene, but his throws get ugly when he tries to arm it instead of having that solid stead base to throw from.
    • He could be 6-9 and he would still suck with the issues he has.
