I didnt see it as whining about Bryce as much as asking is this year an anomaly in the 5 years Dan has been a part of the drafting process is it an outlier. There seems to be a lot of questions about whether or not repeating this type of draft is possible, and was it Dan, or bringing in a PFF guy that was ultimately responsible for the draft results.

That’s right. I was too exhausted to come back and specify. The Bryce investment permeated every aspect of this team and it is difficult to have any discussion without that being at least tangental to the practically any team related topic. I mean he is always lurking in the background.

Sure. Eggs are still on the menu. This class looks good though, overall.
Granted we have a low floor for making the field  so ‘grain of salt’ applies but it is higher this year. It will likely be higher next year.

I rewatched the final, game winning drive yesterday and was looking for the perfect place to post this.

Starting on the 4th and 5... Horn fights through a PI to catch a beautiful pass to keep the drive alive.

Next play, they bring him in motion and run Etienne behind him with TMac and Tremayne both throwing nice blocks for him (2:10 on the clock).

Next play, Evans for a TD! Fitzgerald for the PAT.

First play on defense, Thornton has a hellova pass breakup!

ALL ROOKIES! SEVERAL UDFA'S! The future of the franchise is in good hands!

Edit: Tremayne is not a rookie, he came off Washington's PS. But since he was a UFA who never played, I'm counting him.

For once, it doesn't feel like we are needing to wait for our rookies to develop to tell if they have something. Feels very impactful

I wish I could gaslight myself into believing the same, but Eric Eager wasn't even mentioned until two posts before mine here on page five after the initial pivot to complain about Bryce on page one. Considering the views some of those involved have shared regarding PFF + Dan's involvement on Fitterer's team and... well...

Regardless of all of that, Nic Scourton looked really good against the Dolphins. He was setting the edge well and even looked decent in coverage when required to drop back. He was destroying the right side of the Dolphins' OL and even got the best of the LT on several occasions. Seeing what Nic's doing on the field is likely what Evero was hoping DJJ could develop into when they took him. The team also isn't using him as much on special teams (hasn't logged a punt team snap since week 2 but is still part of the FG blocking unit).

Completely different players and playstyles, but Scourton's motor and ability to remain constant while opposing OL start to gas out in the late game reminds me a lot of Charles Johnson.

You seem to be unable to understand that your whining about it just turns it right back into a Bryce referendum.

The holier than thou "all these other people are toxic and I'm completely perfect and have never done nothing wrong ever" shtick has worn on most people who are actually seeing the posts now but somehow it's still not clicking. But what are ya gonna do. You can lead a horse to water...

Or maybe Tepper is pulling all the strings like a lot of posters here think. If so, Tepper made some really good draft picks this last draft.

And it wasn’t really that it was more Morgan centered than anything.

shotgun I think Tepper had a non specific but huge influence over  the 2024 draft and already said stuff about that but it really feels like he let the employees do their work in 2025.
