I’m gonna say it… I’m proud of Bryce.

Yeah….if Rico is the engine running the O and primary threat all day….and you have your QB play off that to often wide open targets? Thats a game manager day.   Bryce did his part as a game manager and hit the wide open dudes.

Rico with back to back 230+  yard games.  Rico has been the O.  Back to back dominant performances….with everyone reaping my the benefits of such.

Whatever. Playing perfectly when down is game manager status? So what exactly would someone better then game manager do in that situation? Go 12/10? You sound dumb.

One thing to keep in mind regarding the play of Bryce.

Bryce ended the season playing well.  Took KC, Philly, and Tampa to the wire when they all had a lot to play for, and had a big game against Atlanta when they still had a shot at a playoff spot.

But there has been a wholesale change in receivers.  Coker and Sanders are both injured, Thielen is gone, and the only returning receivers from last year have been XL, Moore and Tremble.  Moore and Tremble are role players, and XL was also injured and hasn't played well when he has been in.  Even veteran qb's are going to need to get in sync with a new group of receivers.

These types of games are what Bryce supporters/lovers/defenders want to happen in order for him to succeed. If the rush offense and/or run defense sucked, or if any other group has a sub-par day, he hasn't shown that he can take over the game (and that's what you want in a #1 overall pick). all the legos have to fit in order for him to play, and that's unacceptable for someone who has been so highly touted for whatever reason. All I'm waiting for, as a Bryce "hater", is for him to not just make clutch plays once in a while, but to do it consistently and to lift up the team - because that's what a franchise QB is.

That's not to say that I am not proud of what he showed today. He made several good plays, and really just one dumb play I can think of. If allowing him to be a game manager and bystander in order to "unlock" his potential so that I can see what these Bryce lovers see in him then I hope it happens.

I thought he outplayed Dak today. Like I know Dak had bigger stats and but a lot of that was Pickens running free through the zone and when it came to "must have it" plays Dak panicked and checked down/made some terrible decisions.

Bryce still has a way to go. He threw behind or short quite a bit still. Horn could have had a TD had he not had to stop for the ball on that catch. Puzzling becuase he's capable of lasers like the TD to Legette last week and the 4th down throw today

Dak got 30 yards from his run game, Tua got 20 the week prior.  They kept there teams in the game despite zero rush game . BY has gotten 200+ in back to back weeks.

BY hasn’t outplayed an opposing QB all season.  BY on a good day is a game manager…those guys were asked to be the man and get a win.  Games put on the backs of QBs.

Dak had zero pressure on him until the last drive and we saw what happened

One thing we definitely need to work on next offseason is getting more pressure on the passer.  Not sure if we do it thru the draft, or free agency, or just work on the younger guys getting better.

Our pass rush has improved slightly over the last 4 weeks, but it is still the weakest area of our defense right now.

If only we would’ve signed the guy we drafted who is among the NFL sack leaders

Bryce was asked to make plays when it mattered. 4th downs, goal line plays. And he made them. And we won.

those other quarterbacks did not. And they lost. Get off their dicks.
