Bryce Young has now played one full seasons worth of games since returning from his benching in 2024

I think we as fans over analyze the hell out of Bryce. I think most opposing fans see him for what he is, an avg QB with obvious physical limitations. IMO we have no one on the roster better. We have to ride with him and lean on our RBs. Maybe he gets better over time. If not, we move on. This situation will likely resolve itself over time. Like most things in life.

Career passing totals

CJ Stroud - 52 TDs   21 Ints

Bryce Young - 37 TDs  24 Ints

Since his rookie year the offense has gotten worse and the D has improved. Dude is going to be off his rookie deal before they give him what they are giving their D. Classic example of why to pick an offensive HC over deffensive HC. They are set to have a top 5 D and not a winning record like the last 2 years of 10 wins each. Freaking hilarious

Tough to have actual conversations about football when 95% of this board doesn’t have a hot clue about anything football related unless it happens during the Panthers weekly game

People get too much in their feelings.  I'm team Stroud, but it's definitely eye opening to see how much he has dropped off with a below average OL and different OC.  I think he will be fine in the long run assuming the Texans can fix their OL.

Fumbles lost is very misleading, since once that ball hits the ground it's a complete free for all and not really predictable. Hard to judge where a prolate spheroid is going to bounce. Even a fumble recovered is a drive killing play.

There's a lot better ways to make this comparison, especially since Bryce was benched for a good chunk of 2024.

Is crapping on CJ Stroud who already has 2 career playoff wins going to make any of our QB's any better or...? Even one of the Texans backup QB's has a playoff win.

I mean hey if you get your jollies off dunking on that do your thing but going around crying about others not knowing football because they don't cosign whatever is you're doing is toddler behavior.

    • He isn’t but looking at what those guys are getting paid, paying him what he’s making now wouldn’t have been terrible, they should have and still should be looking at pairing some guys with brown to form a pretty dominant d line
    • The Bryce hate is nearly laughable.  He looked like garbage the first two games, but has really, really shown improvement and growth.  People who know football are taking notice.  Will Bryce ever be Arron Rodgers, Farvre, Manning or any other hotshot gunslinger?  No, but I think he is a smart football player who has survived a lot more than most other QB's would have after 2.5 years.  So long as this injury doesn't linger I think you will see legitimate growth over the next two years, with a big leap coming next season. Reich and Brown not working together, Duce causing trouble behind the scenes.  Starting WR's of Mingo and Chark.  No legitimate scheme for the OL.  Fitterer's general incompetence. An owner who was desperate for attention.  How did Zac Wilson, Mariota, Winston, Tribuski, Rosen, Lawarence, Fields, Jones, Pickett, and Richardson fair after 2.5 years?  We see what happens when the Texans have not given Stroud the support. The 2018 draft had great talent, they just needed to mature, hell we wasted two of the top three drafted that year.  Outside of Allen, Mahomes, Jackson, Burrow, or Drake Maye, I'm not sure I really would want any other 1st round QB drafted in the past 10 years? RELAX......  Bryce is our guy as we grow as a team.  The only other option I currently see is maybe a buy low draft pick on Drew Allar if he falls to the third round or lower. Bryce is going to be extended.  He won't get Prescott money which would benefit our team going forward.  A mid range extension like Darnold or Baker got may be just the thing this team needs to keep growing.
    • Even if he had just a two week window of incredible play, it would open up people eyes to what the offense would look like with a different QB than what we've been fielding for the last couple years. No one is saying White should or could be a long term solution, just a different perspective on what the offense could look like, and if it hypothetically did happen it would put major pressure on the situation that they've been half-assing
