I'm legitimately howling that this got you to login. As if you couldn't Google Davis Mills playoff record yourself or that I would make it up.

Get a grip.

You are counting the game that Davis Mills threw one pass for 6 yards when the backups were in during Stroud's rookie year as a playoff win for him?

You just proved the guy's point about on this board about people not knowing anything about non Panther games....

Add on to this.

That means I thought Bryce needed the same amount of time on the sidelines before starting because his mechanics needed fixing before being thrown on the field.

Additionally if starting him, you need to be able to scheme him a throwing lane up the middle so the whole field is open to him when he drops back.

The Panthers didn't fix his mechanics, they didn't have an offense set up to scheme him throws over the middle consistently and didn't draw off his biggest strength as a thrower which is numbers out to the boundary.

None of the above even started happening til Canales got here and Bryce was benched. Throwing him on the field as a rookie in an offense that didn't fit his traits and skills set literally ruined what chance he had at being an NFL starting QB.

I genuinely think Reich started mailing it in the second they picked Young.

I watched him too, and he still threw a lot of balls at the feet of the receiver when he had time or completely missed easy side outs on quick throws.

People can't say "stop moving the goalpost with Bryce, he's bad" and then also goalpost CJ. It's the same posters doing it too. CJ has just been bad. Plain and simple. A team with that defense should not be 2-4

What in your view is the goal?

Is what ultimately amounts to winning individual meaningless games like the Panthers have been doing while never competing for their division or the postseason the last 8+ years the bar?

Or is it actually winning in the postseason?

This team hasn't sniffed the playoffs in nearly a decade. To try and dunk on teams and players who have is pitiful. You can argue otherwise if it makes you feel better. Do what makes you happy.

What makes me happy is watching you backpedal/change the subject after you thought you were flexing on someone.

No matter how bad CJ is it doesn't change that Bryce is just as bad or worse

I think it more shows how important a decent OL and OC is for a young QB.  CJ has shown he can be one of the best in the league if he has these.  Darnold looked like a solid starter when he got these, without it he looked like garbage.  You can take away the whole Bryce Young thing since it appears to be a sensitive subject.  Maybe Levis wasn't as bad as people thought for example looking at Cam Ward play just as bad if not worse as a rookie in that situation.  QBs are the most important position but it's still very much a team sport and always will be.  Just something to talk about until our next game.

It's interesting you perceive a simple acknowledgement of reality in terms of where we are on the ladder across the league as a franchise as flexing. But that is not at all surprising to me. I remember you arguing with me about our awful QB room earlier in the year and specifically Andy Dalton. Everything with you seems to circle back to trying to carry water for Bryce Young. You should get on the payroll bud. Don't work for free.

How is it not relevant? His physical talent allows him to make high level throws in just about any circumstance. On the run. Off platform. Off his backfoot. His problem was always the mental aspect. It's always going to be easier for a guy like that to dig himself back into starting jobs than someone who does not have that advantage built in.

Because its a cop out with no room for nuance at all. It ignores every other similarity and just size to talk about size. Brees had worst year 3 stats than Bryce and by this forums take on the subject that should have been the end of his career. If you mention Brees its "he doesn't count because he is a HoF" if you mention Baker its "he's taller than Bryce" despite literally having way more batted balls.

Now we have Stroud trending down where does his size play into that?
