Bills predictions

I think the Bills will be desperate to keep pace with the Patriots and Josh Allen is about to go off.  Their defense sucks so we do have a chance to run the ball and take a few shots downfield. I just have a bad feeling it will be a blowout though.

what say you?

They run the ball a lot, 30 times a game on average and Allen is averaging 240 yards a game. They are leaning heavily on the run game and play action passing.

Their defense is really weak against the run and strong against the pass.

Run the ball effectively and make it a low possession game with a low score to have a chance to win late.

Prediction? We likely lose.
Maybe look okay doing it.

It could be different with some turnovers coming to us.
In general I don’t have the same faith in what we will get from Andy that I had in the week three games of the two previous years.
I was very confident as to what we would see last year vs the Raiders and was validated.
The patchwork OL worries me, in pass pro, with him being old and creaky and not exactly being ‘cat like’ in his escapability. And somewhat concerned about his arm strength. I mean in general, I think he could still be ‘as good once as he ever was’ which is a huge upgrade from Bryce.
But it is still another year of aging and at some point it’s over… people say it is for him, I haven’t seen enough of him this season to say otherwise.

Add the fact that they are generally a more seasoned and tested team than we are, players to staff. I am skeptical. But that is why they play the games, we don’t know for sure.

They struggled against the Falcons but before that they started out 4-0  and only lost to the Patriots by 3 points while we flat out got wiped off the field by that same team.

They're coming off a bye and looking for a get right game. Don't mistake this for a cakewalk.

The best thing going for us right now is it's a home game but if our offense has a repeat of wasting drives like they did last week against the 0-6 Jets it might be over quick.

I think we are surpisingly competitive in a "get right" game for them after struggling the previous two games against bad teams.

We just aren't able to be efficient enough on offense as Canales keeps denying Rico the bulk of the work and our passing game still can't take a big enough step forward.

Bills 38, Panthers 27

    • Man I was hoping if Evero leaves that Ulbrich would be the Panthers DC hire.  He turned the Falcons defensive pass rush into one of the leagues best.
    • To everyone saying he won't take a DC job and only will be taking a HC job this year, I'm not entirely sure about that. To begin with, in today's NFL, most teams prefer to hire an offensive background coach over defensive. Adding to that, there have been 3 hires so far this year, with 2 of them being defensive guys.  And since there are only going to be so many teams looking to hire a defensive minded HC each year, it decreases his odds.  Also, Saleh was always a hot name in this cycle and teams are probably more familiar with him as they've been looking into him for a while already. Then you look at the openings left... I can't see him wanting to go to the Raiders or Browns.  The Cardinals just fired a defensive coach, can't see them hiring another right after.   That just leaves the Ravens and Steelers.  He's probably too old for the Steelers to have any interest in him and I've got to think the Ravens are going to be looking for an innovative offensive mind type of HC to maximize Lamar's prime window. Sure, he might just sit the season out and try for a HC job next offseason, but I just don't see any fits that make sense for him right now.
    • Falcons continue making good moves. One of the reasons they hired a coach so quickly was because locking up Ulbrich was a priority. The Falcons agreed to terms with defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich on a new three-year deal, per sources. Kevin Stefanski’s first key staff addition come in-house in Atlanta, where Ulbrich’s D set a franchise record with 57 sacks in 2025.
