Everybody says Evans but I think they're too caught up in height. Mike Evans is an absolute beast. He's basically prime David Boston except he didn't derail his career with weight issues. He absolutely physically overwhelms people. That's not T-Mac. T-Mac's size is an asset but it's honestly secondary to his route running, sneaky speed, and natural body control.

Yeah, I don't know about the sneaky speed. Sneaky quickness. Agree with everything else. But he definitely tries to big-man bully DBs. Doesn't always come down with it, but I think he needs more attempts deep to maximize his ability. Hate the way the team uses him as more of an underneath threat. If the defense is in Cover 0 or 1, then check to TMac jump ball. Every. Freaking. Time.

To be fair, there were a few coaches that liked Bryce. We just rolled the dice and crapped out. My thing is, we made an ill-advised trade to move up to get him, and we've been doubling down ever since.

Did they say that before or after we traded up? Draft lying is an art.
I know, for the millionth time, but I give no cred to a coach that wasn’t just being nice. If he really thought Young was the 1.1 or 1.5, he loses cred with me.
An (relative to them) idiot like me could see it clearly. Unless that brain of his could levitate footballs it wasn’t happening.

Plus the XL thing, Corbett over Mays, etc.

He just doesn't want to play his best guys where they fit best. We are not merit based. At all.

Yes. Our HC and OC has WR coaching experience. How they have handled XL development has been wild to me. Run game issues have been since buccs. He is always figuring things out too late in the run game adjustments/personnel even when rico basically laid it out for him in a 2 game stretch.

Honestly, on this team, in 2023, only a Lamar Jackson clone would have had any degree of success.

Well, we weren’t expecting success (rational people anyway) we were looking for signs of it in the future. Some people saw things that weren’t there they wanted it so bad.

AJ Green (also notice how much velocity Dalton has lost on his throws, it's startling):

I'm thinking more of a Mike Evans where he beats you at the top of the route or when the ball gets there. D Hop is a hell of a route runner that'll toast you off the LOS. If TMac becomes that...

I personally see more Hopkins than Evans but if he gets close to either, I will be very happy.

Andy started to fall apart in 2018 with a torn thumb ligament and only had one 3k+ year after that, 2019. Not all QBs can play until 40 but a non-running QB falling apart at 32 is a bit surprising. He hit that cliff hard by 2020.

It does happen. People are very spoiled by the recent spate of late 30's and early 40's effective QB's.

I think the guys at the lower end of the athletic traits spectrum tend to be really noticable when they lose anything. Andy was never a freak in any category.
