It felt like they gave up on him today. The game plan was obviously to prevent him from losing the game. We completely stopped throwing the ball over 10 yards after his atrocious endzone INT. When he short armed the comeback to T-Mac on the final drive that was nearly picked Canales was very content to just run the ball and hope an inexperienced kicker could make a long FG in tough conditions.

The play calling today screamed "I don't trust my QB and I'm gonna hope Rico and the D can steal us a W".

Honestly on that comeback if it wasn’t such a weak duck it would have been a pick. His weak arm actually did the team a favor for once because his brain was intent on turning it over.

I think the coaching staff is ready to turn the page at this point, Dalton is just completely washed. Morgan wasn't the GM when Bryce was picked. The signs are indicating that we are gonna at least explore options at QB this coming off-season.

I hope you are right

I would have to imagine just about every team in this league would have made a change at qb at this point.  100 yards is just basically tying one hand behind your back

For whom exactly? Lol

you think say Mike white or Dalton would have done..........worse?

Of course did you watch Andy last week? There’s a reason nobody signed White.

Bryce was a classic Trent Dilfer type of game manager today.

Dalton absolutely. Bryce being able to move around and out of the pocket was a huge difference in preventing negative plays today.

He still blows and is the worst "established starter" in the league, but he's better than Dalton.

Mike White is harder to know...

Bryce did exactly what was needed of him

That INT was bad. A wobbler the wind then took as well. Ugly. But other than that he did what he needed to do especially when we needed it the most

Game plan similar to Falcons. Neutralize the pass rush. Run the ball. Get ball out quick. Bryce extended multiple plays and picked up a couple firsts with his legs.

Maybe if we had a coach that understood this simple philosophy when playing against a team with a real good pass rush we’d have won the SB in 2015

I think it was windy today so that impacted an already weak armed QB’s passes. I don’t know if it was the wind that impacted the throw on the INT but it was nowhere near XL (unless XL ran the wrong route).

nevertheless, a better QB probably wouldve done better. Bryce did what he does best, evolves into the reaper in crunch time.

Love threw for 273 yards, so no, Bryce doesn't get a pass because of the wind

Big daddy Dave is locked in his office right now with his picture of Brady, his Bryce screen saver, a box of kleenex and hand lotion.

Dude that’s weird

    • I watched a clip of all the offensive snaps. Young threw into some tight coverage and the guys made some plays on the ball. He also really missed some throws.  He has this middle of the field thing into a tight window pretty good and made three or four nice plays but he was just too inconsistent with his accuracy especially in the red zone. Today and in general.    That Int where people were chastising Legette for ‘not fighting through the coverage’, he in no way could have gotten to that ball. IMO. I think he thought it was going to hit the ground and didn’t see the defender coming for it. But not sure what he could have done. The camera doesn’t show the spatial relationship very well, I think the ball was way off. maybe 6 feet or more off target to the inside of the field.  Rico is a beast. And a very good receiver.   That was my impression without dissecting and rewinding, just letting the video roll. I did rewind the int two or three times to look at that one.
    • My biggest issue with keeping Darnold, which I felt we should have done, is we would still have Fitterer. And everything that came with that.  I think Morgan is going to be good.  Baker, just did not play well at all here. Not sure what else we were supposed to take away from it at the time.  That’s my short ‘I don’t want to argue about it’ take.
    • Even if we somehow make the playoffs we will be one and done so fast. Seattle, Rams, TB, Panthers, Detroit and Philly are all better than us.
