I think from a bad juju stand point they shouldn't return this season.   But outside of that, they should return when they want.  Not sure why the players don't want them to return.  If it's anything other than superstition this season...then fug them for that.  That unknown podcast was right when they went about what they did.

JMO, I think it is lame as hell to publicly give up on the team and then crawl back when they win a few games.

Like, how can you run a PANTHERS PODCAST and then give up on it during the season? Yes, you can argue the Panthers prior to Week 3 hadn't done anything to deserve fanfare, but nobody made them run a Panthers Podcast.  They chose to.  So stick with it.  Instead they gave up and did so publicly.  Which is well within their right - but you can't then turn around and bring it back the same season.

This is the second Panthers podcast I'd never heard of that has announced it will cease to exist this year.

Nothing you need to know about these bums and there podcast except they gave up on the team earlier in the season quit doing their broadcast (I think after the Patriots loss) and the Panthers are 4-1 since they stopped. Now they want to come back and pretend they are still die hard Panthers fans...

This was a terrible podcast. A bunch of uninformed homers that had worse takes than the bottom 10% of the Huddle.

I listened to a handful of podcasts this past offseason in search of new Panthers material since John Ellis doesn't do his pod anymore and The 4 Man Rush don't either. Immediately deleted it after the handful I listened to.

Truly terrible.

You could go root for a team you actually like instead of using the board as a weekly complaint session. Dont like the team go find one you like. We are tired of your negativity

You keep on acting like the police if it makes you feel better bub. We'll be right here like we always have.

Why does stopping a podcast mean they are no longer die hard Panther fans?
They are not the only podcast I listen to that has said they don’t know how long they can keep so it when the Panthers looked like this season was more of the same.

Theres nothing at all thats particularly good unless you like 29 minutes of shoutouts. Bleav with Johnothan Stewart is ok but the host is not good.

I wonder what happened to Ellis. There was an edition where he was talking about the podcast gearing up for the season then nothing

According to reddit, they literally said they are stopping the broadcast because the Panthers suck so much and they don't want to waste their time on the team. Then apparently did a media tour after they quit to further rub it in about how much the Panthers suck.

Then after we start doing well, they want to come back and do their podcast again. They can fug right on off and never be heard from again for all I care.

I know nothing about the podcast, but the Panthers reddit all collectively hate the dudes. If all of our fans are that much in unison about something, then they must really suck

I mean are the guys doing that podcast dense or something? They are seriously trying to come back a few weeks later after citing the team's poor performance as a reason to stop doing their little podcast?

AND they are trying to come back with the same name and everything? Man, doesn't get much dumber from a marketing perspective or really for any good reason other than trying to capitalize on the team not being total ass anymore.

They should have just waited a couple seasons and come back under another name or sh*t, just start a new podcast with a different name and no one would have even noticed. Idiots.

    • I feel like this trade just lives rent free in people's heads and keeps morphing into different things. First thing is that the rumored trade was for future firsts. They wouldn't have any extra picks in 2023; the firsts would have been for 2024 and 2025. With very few exceptions, NFL GMs don't value picks that far away. You have to have a lot of job security to pull that off. Like Chiefs, Eagles, Rams kinda stability. That's obviously not the case with David Tepper, especially since he'd just fired his head coach. No GM except for like Howie Roseman is going to trade an asset you have now for a future asset you probably get to use.  Second, at the time you'd have to assume these are first rounders late in the first round. Obviously currency is currency and the panthers need young players, but these weren't slam dunk top ten picks. At the end of the day there's one pick that separates a first and second round pick.  Lastly, the only place that ever reported this trade was the Rams. All the reporters just repeated what McVay said and it became gospel. We have no idea how serious the negotiations were, if they ever really happened, if the offer was real, etc. And I personally believe McVay and Sneed are the kind of guys who would make up rumors like that to fug up other teams, mostly because I assume if I've thought of it someone smarter than me has.  I don't know how you'd call it the greatest draft haul of all time. Firsts quickly lose their value the farther out they are and Burns had 16.5 sacks last season. And anyway those picks would probably just been tossed into the burning inferno of the Bryce trade up so it's a moot point anyway.
