Even with big time throws, he’s grouped up with mid qbs and barely ahead of bad ones. “Mid” is debatable for some of those guys, including Bryce.

The criteria for BTT is so subjective and not very nuanced. 1/2 point increments are clunky, if they shaded the grading variances a little finer, it would still be subjective. 
 

It’s fun to look at their graphs and get a general picture of the league, for fans, myself included, but I don’t really see the utility for pro evaluations. Do we envision Tillis and the super stat guy we hired (forget his name and can’t find him on the team site), do we see them relying on PFF? Lord I hope not.

They gave him just a below average score for a game where he set the league record for lowest yard per attempts... He had a higher stupid pff score than we had net yards... They definitely over grade him. And despite that he has a 70 which makes him 24/42... Lol

My cousin is convinced the Panthers could get Maye for two first rounders (2026 & 2027) and Bryce. 

Obviously this is hypothetical and it's highly unlikely NE would agree.

I did a for instance quick look at the Green Bay game, stats and PFF. 
102 yards passing, he graded 42 decimal point something I just glanced at it.  

Probably not overrating him, it was one of the lowest scores for the team.  

So I wasn’t being real accurate relative to that particular game with the over grading comment. But I don’t know, I still think there are probably other examples like what you cited where he did get some generous grades.

I made it about 2 minutes, abysmal footwork and he will never correct it because he has to do that style due to his height. Also the arm motion, throwing with your arm extending as high as possible doesn't seem like the best option to generate pure arm strength.

I see the strengths in Bryce's game on good days. I see the weaknesses on bad days. He definitely has too many bad days at the moment. 

 

But I think the long and the short of the argument is this: It's unquestionably the best thing for the franchise to give him the 5th year, and see what happens. We have to be able to use our available cap space on a position that is not quarterback if we want to be good next year. If Bryce can't do it with what we should be able to spend next year, you move on. I really think it's that simple. If he agrees to a contract that will allow us to continue to put really good pieces around him, on both sides of the ball, that's a different conversation too. I don't think anybody thinks he's worth top QB money right now. And I think he even knows that if he were to take top QB money somewhere else it wouldn't go well.

If he craps the bed this playoff game and plays horrible, I don’t want to see a 5th year option. He is 4 years in as the #1 pick and is still wildly inconsistent in his game. That is not worthy of a 5th year option. I don’t care how anyone looks at it. If Bryce stinks up this game and plays horrible and they extend him? I’m done watching until we get another QB. Waste of my time.
