I know it’s dumb to even dream about the playoffs at this time but here it is

Playoff chances go from 27% to just 8% with a loss against the Falcons.

Always go with your first instinct.

I’m not buying any hype anymore

this team is too young to understand your biggest game are division games

..and the coaching staff doesn’t know how to get their heads on straight for that situation

i got nothing

if they think they arrived because the Packers played down to their competition, I got nothing..particularly for a qb who contributes less than 150 per game

Really needed the win against the saints, like bad.

10 games probably gets the 7th seed this year. Tampa probably wins 11-12 so division is out of question unless Mayfield gets hurt or something.

Which means now, our best shot is: Beat the Falcons, 49ers, Saints. And then we need to win 2/4 between the Rams, Seahawks, Bucs, and Bucs.

Possible, but unlikely. Now losing to the Saints- very unlikely.

I may be in the minority, but I watch every year because I’m hoping we make the playoffs.  We a competitor pulling for a team in a competitive sport, why would I watch knowing we’re just gonna suck anyway?  Even in years that we know we’re going into it thin, I still want to believe we’ll be one of those miraculous one-year-turnaround stories.  Why else should we be watch if we don’t want to compete?  And yes, I’m aware competing can happen without winning, but the playoffs are the minimum goal in my mind.  Nobody wants to waste their time or resources to lose.

That being said, as long as Bryce is playing, we will not be making the playoffs.

    • Some QBs take several years to develop. Maybe he is on that level. He needs to find the right offense and coach to succeed.
    • That is a good question. I quit following Cleveland back then after Ernest Byner’s fumble turned into ‘the Drive’ The average fan didn’t have near as much access to information as we do nowadays.  As far as Lance it isn’t much different from anyone. It is on him to perform. We need somebody badly and should take a look at all options.  The gatekeeping centers around physical attributes as being the first hurdle abs then you get into the cerebral and execution and whether or not there could be growth in a certain environment.  It is one option, in preliminary discussions.  I used to bet the horses. This one track, if they changed jockeys right before the race you bet that nag. And you won. Not sure how it applies but it was a cool story.
    • I've said it before but he's smart in knowing anticipation within a play's design, but he can't see the live-field to properly layer a throw.  So many issues.. -Slow, shallow drops that restrict sight lines -Because of this, he can't see the field and gets swallowed up even when an OL holds up -So then he bails when he doesn't need to, and can't properly survey -And also can't put the touch on intermediates enough to produce YAC. Smitty would've gone ham on him if he was catching his balls.  Probably gotten a few black eyes in practice already.  McMillan was even looking visibly frustrated the past two games.  The kid doesn't have it. It's over.  It really is.  We've given him so much time for how bad he's been.  Far longer than Zach Wilson or Josh Rosen at this stage.
