If you draft and develop good players you're gonna have to eventually pay them. Not a bad "problem" to have.

You do end up having to choose between those guys though.  It's a great problem to have, but you gotta pick the right guys.  Look at the Bengals.

Paying Higgins was so dumb. Said well before they signed him that given the state of their OL and their D they were basically in a situation where they had to either trade him, let him walk, or tag and trade him. They have tons of cap invested in offensive skill positions but the rest of their roster is a disaster.

Feels on brand for Mike Brown.  He's very anti trade.

Then just take it in the shorts and take your 3rd round comp pick. Either way you can't have two guys on elite WR contracts when you have no OL and no D and your franchise QB is taking an absolute beating every week.

total bust part bothers me because he has always had flashes but he's been much much better both last year and this year. Really happy with how Ickey has turned out given he's got such a great story

Well remember there was a story that someone was asked to help Remmers but they didn't do it.

Don't think they ever named who but some suspect it was Tolbert.
