if Canales can bench Bryce and is choosing not to he’s an imbecile. If he wants to but doesn’t have the authority to do so then he’s not worth the position.

either way if they blow this opportunity by continuing to trot Bryce out there then Canales isn’t worth bringing back  

 

That’s just dumb.  If anything Canales should earn a pass because we have as many wins as we do with Mr Big Time Throw.  Plus it will do even more damage to the organization than just giving him another year.

Panthers have been winning games with special teams and defense, two things Canales has nothing to do with. He didn’t even hire the defensive coordinator. We’re in the second year of one of the lowest scoring offenses in the league, and that’s with Andy Dalton starting several games last season and massive infusions of resources into that side of the ball  

you’re not getting anywhere you want if you bc an only score points against the falcons and raiders of the world.

I like Dowdle alot but we need to learn lesson regarding paying running backs.

This team would be wise to cut Chuba this offseason. Save 3 million. 

Dan has spent a ton of resources on RB in his brief time as GM. Chuba contract. 2nd rounder on Brooks. A 4th on ETN. Signed Rico

The ONLY thing Chuba provides is solid pass pro. Other than that they’d be better served giving ETN all of his touches 

Brooks can’t be depended on at this point unfortunately

And spending prime draft capital on one unless it's going to be a home run type of player.

In regards to the topic I think Canales has shown enough to get at least another year. If we can't improve to be a more consistent offense next season then I think we clean house after that. I think we've seen enough to know what we have with Bryce and its been obvious for some time he has been holding this team hostage to a certain degree. He isn't always the issue but more often than not he is the reason for the inconsistencies on offense, and he really isn't someone who has been able to elevate the play of others around him which is absolutely what you need to be able to win consistently in today's league. I don't think Bryce will be off the team next year but we have to bring in some legit competition for QB1. That has to happen, we simply cannot go into next year with Bryce being the defacto QB1 again.
