It seems clear that they call a lot of plays where T-Mac isn't an option, that he's used as a decoy as Bryce never even looks his way, it's either an immediate pass to someone else or he goes through his reads and never even gets to T-Mac, because he was always meant to be a decoy on the play.

So when they actually call a play for him, Bryce then feels the need to lock in on him.

We're the only team with a true #1 WR who thinks they're better off trying to use them to trick the defense by using them as a decoy as opposed to just throwing him the damn ball.

When you limit the chances Bryce has to throw the ball to him, it's hard to expect him to turn down those opportunities when they do call plays for him.

I get that but he has to disregard that when a player is more open.

bryce is the problem. I don’t think you can pin as much on Dave as you can on Bryce and his limitations.

The San Fran game was on Dave a bit more though, bc the run game was successful per carry.

Back to back weeks of wining the turnover battle in the first half….3 INTs last week and 2 today…..and trailing at half both weeks lol.   Bryce Young isn’t even a backup caliber QB.

If I was a player on that defense I’d hate Bryce Young at this point. Last two games out there getting turnovers, even scoring in this game  and he can’t do sh*t.

Seriously, we wasted about 30 seconds to have an incompletion off a scramble.

It was a minute left at midfield with 3 timeouts, there was literally zero reason to not call a timeout there.

Canales ISN'T THE GUY, maybe even more so than Bryce not being THE guy, which is saying something.

Bringing either of them back next year will be a mistake, but sadly we're likely going to bring both back and just double down on the stupid.

Listening to the radio broadcast through the first quarter, Luke and Jake are really not holding back.  It’s almost laughable how every pass play ends with them saying “the play was there, he just missed him…”.  Luke literally said on one of the early drives that Canales made a great play call, the rams came out in man, we ran a mesh concept, Coker was wide open and Luke said the ball was just too high.  And again, it’s like every fuging pass play.

i told yall last week, the amount of plays per drive that are there for a positive gain and should be routine, and Bryce just fuging ruins them.  He single-handedly kills drives because he can’t do basic poo.

I agree with this. I think he has the makings of being a good head coach. I’d like to see us bring an OC with Head coach experience. And Dave lets go of his play calling duties for the most part. His input will still be valid, but he just doesn’t have that killer instinct. To be fair though, there is no telling how many good plays he’s called in crucial moments that weren’t executed bc lil ole Bryce cant muster up the strength to get the ball accurate and on time.

The commentators nailed when they said Bryce Young has learned to be a better game manager.  He really hasn't improved his skills in the passing attack...at all, but he's been better at managing games with a solid rushing attack. So yeah, play action is going to pop when the defense is looking to stop the run.

I said in another thread with the way the division is trending we might win the division next season with 9 wins and lock ourselves into the horrible marriage between Dave and Bryce for a long time
