It's been a shocking turnaround, from the FA pieces of Lewis & Hunt being a success and then stacking that with depth pieces that have contributed on top of Ickey progressing. Turned around the offense on a dime.

What they've done with Ickey boggles my mind 🥺

Absolutely no reason to rush him back.  The O-line is miraculously holding up.  Keep him in our back pocket for a potential playoff push.  I don't think his presence will make enough of a difference at the close of this season to really push games our direction.  It literally all hinges on Bryce Young being able to play at least adequately.  That's all this team needs.  If we get into the playoffs and Hunt is fully healed and ready, that's the time to bring him back.

Please do not rush him back if he is not completely healthy. Don't need him screwing up his biceps again and missing games next year also...

That being said, would definitely be nice having him back at RG. Although I do think Curhen has been pretty solid and was a good find off of the Cardinal's practice squad

Curhen has performed both well and absolutely terrible.

Ideally we get a real NFL caliber OG in there when Corbett slides back over.

I'll take solid with a couple of bad plays over Zavala being awful on just about every pass blocking opportunity.

Curhen was on the Cardinal's practice squad for a reason - he isn't very talented. That being said, I think he has done a solid job in the games he has played.

If the argument is Zavala vs. Curhen, the battle is already lost.

Not sure who but Curhen has former connections with someone on our staff.  They obviously knew something more about him.  He's no Andrew Norwell but we ran the ball at will with this guy so he does deserve some props.

Zavala for whatever reason cannot stand up to the demands of playing in the NFL.  He's collecting a paycheck but rarely is available.  I'd rather move on and work with guys like Curhan that at least can stay healthy.

Canales and Curhan go back to their Seattle days.

I gotta disagree here, reason being that our OL coaching is significantly improved.

You can disagree but I would suggest looking at recent games for Curhan.

I am not expecting the world, nor should any of us, but we also shouldn't be surprised when a PS player gets abused in games.

That's a very unsuccessful strategy.

Cuhran did not play well last week when I watched / noticed.  However, He does not cost us over $1m per game either.  He has been solid up until then-not sure how he graded vs the Rams, but I would bet "not great."  (just checked--a 56.3--not horrible).

    • When I see those figures my stomach gets queasy at the thought of Bryce getting a similar deal. I think it would be a wise for the FO to speak to him and his agent before the deadline for 5th year option.  If Bryce expects a similar deal prior to his 4th year...or even after his 4th year...Morgan needs to try to work out a trade deal and move him.
    • I do hope Sonny Styles is available with our pick. Reese will go top-3, but Styles is a beast in his own right. His size next to Wallace would be a heckuva balance and he plays fast. My guess is Styles destroys the combine and goes top-8. Gotta hope the "taking an off-ball LB early" conversation causes a bit of a drop. It did with Campbell in last draft, so here's hoping Styles can last until the late teens/early 20s.
    • Teams can win in spite of bad offense.  In spite of bad defense.  In spite of bad ST.  In spite of being weak at corner.  In spite of weak WRs.  In spite of weak QB play.  like I said, what is taking place is the unique cherry pick where some fans say we can't state the obvious reality about the QB spot.  But look at Atlanta!  But look at these 3 throws in this game he was treated as a backup for every single other snap!  Exceptions don't make the rule or change the big picture. I have seen lots of your post, I don't recall you rushing to Philly Brown's defense when it was just matter of fact stated Cam Newton won NFL MVP/went to the Super Bowl despite a weak WR cast.  The entire board universally agreed the weak link to that roster was what it was.     I would reckon if I searched hard enough, I could find you making the same matter of statement that teams do in fact win in spite of very clear weaknesses.
