Canales' O - Year 2

What you have to ask is if this is the Bryce effect. If the answer is, "yes," then you must not extend Bryce, and if you do exercise the option, you have to have a serious plan B (and, no, Dalton is not serious). If the answer is "no," then Canales should be put on a leash and a hot seat.

The running game was dominant at one point. The albatross has been the passing game. And aside from the anomaly in Atlanta our passing game has been consistently underwhelming at best.

Canales playcalling and decision making has left a lot to be desired to say the least. At the end of the day though there is a rational argument to be made that we really need to see this group with a QB that opens up the entire field consistently.

People need to realize our owner is such a douche AND Young sucks so bad at QB that Canales was literally the ONLY coach that probably even wanted this job.

I still think he sucks and isn't qualified for the job but people need to be realistic about the true situation of the Carolina Panthers too

    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
    • Didn’t get around to watching this one but looks like Pistons played their starters and actually tried…? Unlucky that they sit vs Magic, etc and try vs us. Hopefully we can beat the Heat and then Magic or 6ers with no Embiid. BUT if not, the NBA really should give us the lottery win this year like they did Mavs last year. Another high pick could be our final missing piece and have us as legit top contenders next year and going forward if we’re healthy. Or trade it for a Giannis type
