Other Wild Card Games

Caleb Williams gets his first playoff win during his 2nd year in the 2025 season's playoffs. This is the Bears first playoff win in 15 years. Wow. But I guess we haven't won one in 10 years (probably January 2016).

Meanwhile bryce young in his 3rd year loses his first playoff game in the same playoffs.

Caleb already looks miles ahead of Bryce.  We have to play the Bears next year as well...

The Bears own the head to head games against us since the bryce trade as well. I believe they have more regular season wins and more playoff wins as well now.

The Panthers would basically have to win the Super Bowl for us to win the Bryce Trade . Which is depressing to contemplate.

It must nice to have a defense that can actually stop the opponent from scoring at the end of a game.

Also, McManus missing the field goal at the end of the half, the fourth quarter, and the extra point was huge in retrospect.

I'm not sour about it.  Good for them.  Chicago has been pretty ass for years too.

They have been to the playoffs in the late 2010s with Trubisky right? The double doink field goal game ?

But I guess they lost that game. My point is they have had some solid seasons in the 2000s and 2010s.

Ben Johnson was the firestarter for their franchise that they needed. The bears had been stuck in a miasma of dumb ass old school defensive minded head coaches that couldn't adapt to the modern NFL.

If bears win the superbowl this year, I think that might be it for the Panthers existence

I'll do you one better. All hypothetical of course. Picture this....

Bears vs. Texans Superbowl

I think I would laugh maniacally all damn day.

He's played a lot like Bryce but he has a lot more ability to fall back on.

Yeah over time the mental aspects can be reworked and improved if the QB in question has all the necessary physical tools. See Sam Darnold see Baker Mayfield see Caleb Williams etc etc. But nobody is going to suddenly wake up one morning and have that if it didn't already exist.

But I expect the Panthers will continue to hitch themselves to their mistake. Purgatory awaits. What are ya gonna do. Embrace the chaos boys.

wtf when I left work the Bears had 3 points in the 3rd quarter, what happened?

Turns out if you dont play defense in the fourth, bad things can happen. Its like they Evero'd their way through the last quarter.

For all of Caleb Williams faults sadly he is the better QB.

Hope you boys enjoyed your "just happy to be here" moment.

The Bryce trade was Tepper trying to run a get rich quick scheme because he thought he could outsmart the rest of the league. He thought they were one player away when they were 20 players away. He was impatient. Wanted to win now when that was never an option.

If nothing more, it shows the value of patience.
