Falcons and Raiders have both already satisfied the Rooney Rule, so this could be real interest.

Falcons ask him one question and one question only. How the f would you stop Bryce Young from having his career best day every time he plays us.

I always defend coaches too long. I know that about myself. But i have a feeling a lot of people are going to eat some crow on evero.

our defensive unit had two of the best defensive players in football (Jaycee and DB), one of the top free agent SS on the market, and a bunch of cast aways from other teams and rookies.

Evero gets the most out of guys that other orgs did not want. Mike Jack, Nick Scott, Rozeboom, these guys were cast aways, and many of them have been solid here. We gotta give him some tools to work with before we throw him out. I have a feeling he’s getting some of these calls because the orgs know what he’s doing, and what he’s doing it with.

The guy took one of the worst defenses in NFL history and made it one who can compete against any team in the NFL.  He has two interviews lined up for head coaching positions.

Does anyone want to see what he does when we have actual linebackers or can actually pressure the QB?

No.  A lot of fans are praying he's gone.

WTF.

This is definitely revisionism or misremembering. The year before Evero was hired, the Panthers had a middle of the pack defense. Then after 2 years under him they fell to the single worst defense of all time, statistically.

This year they climbed back up to middle of the pack, where we were before Evero arrived.

As far as seeing what he can do if he had XYZ players, please recall that drafting guys like DJ Johnson was his call. He pushed for these shitters and was seen fist pumping in the draft room when we gave away picks to trade up for that dude.

He's getting HC requests based mostly on his lingering reputation from the Broncos (who now have a much better defense without him btw)

I remember reading that he wants his pass rushers to set the edge first and then get thier sacks on second efforts when the QB has to hold the ball because of the coverage. But the coverage in the middle just isnt there. This is why nearly every rush attempt all you see is our rushers just bull rush into the chest of the OT. And I think this is why you see the way Princley answered those questions in his last interview the edges aren't allowed to try and use thier moves to dip around the outside of the OT it either straight bullrush or and inside move

Find me a coach who has never drafted a bad player.  I'd venture to guess he also had a hand in getting Nic Scourton and other good draft picks we've made on defense.

Are you talking about the middle of the pack defense of 2022 when we fired Rhule and Snow?  Are you talking about Evero's first two years where we largely ignored improving the defense in any significant way?

You're comparing starting over with a different and new defensive scheme as the same as how the Rhule/Snow era ended.  That a horrible comparison.  You really think this current defense is on par with our 2022 defense?  Even if you do, would you rather have the 2022 defense to build on or this one?

    • Nijman is actually one of the better free agent left tackles available in free agency and he will get a chance to start next year. He will get a raise and likely be re-signed. Christensen backs him up and they should sign another veteran tackle and/or draft a 2nd or 3rd round tackle as well. Zavala and Corbett need to go so they should also draft a guard. I’ve suggested they should trade down in the first round to accumulate more picks for depth they are going to need a lot of going forward.
    • Princely overall PFF was 47 compared to Scourton’s 68.   Not everything shows  up in the stats.
    • If you account for the discrepancy in snap counts, then Princely and Scourton actually had pretty similar production. Scourton: 717 snaps (68%) 47 tackles (7 TFL) 5 sacks 15 pressures 1 FF Princely: 222 snaps (22%)  24 tackles (2 TFL) 1.5 sacks 5 pressures 1 FF, 1 FR I think Scourton was simply given more opportunities to flash.  Then it goes to a more abstract argument of why Princely was not given more playing time.  But then we'd be blindly giving credence to the same guy who not only drafted DJ Johnson, but was happy to waste a roster spot and snaps on the guy for 2 seasons and some change.
