That defensive line is fine, they don't have the players behind them at LB to be really really good against the run.

Pff also have his stats wrong, they gave him less sacks, less pressures and less QB hits than any other service or what the NFL officially gave Burns.

Pressures and QB hits are a little bit wonky. I have seen those tabulated several different ways. I would say those are useful stats but not definitive because they can be open to interpretation.

Mainly used it as other examples combined with them giving him 1.5 less sacks compared to what he has officially.

I remember the ravens “official” stats during ray Lewis’ final season when he could barely move had him almost breaking the franchise record for tackles.

Dexter Lawrence fell off a cliff this year and they essentially collapsed from him on out.  Carter was not as impactful as anticipated (not a bust by any means, just a slower start than expected), so there were a lot of things that went wrong for them.

They had a lighter schedule after making the big firing, but that defense has a lot of work to get done.  People assumed they were stacked but there's a lot of faults.

Like most, never take a particular stat book for gospel, they're all good to look at and gather an opinion from. Useful but not a definitive line drawing measure.

We were never going to offer him that kind of change. He hasn't really produced at the level of that deal until this past season. Of the top 10 AAV pass rushers, the only player with a lower career Sack/GM average is Josh Hines-Allen.

His best season with us was when we had Riddick.  He had a great season with the arrival of Carter.  He's a #2 edge.  On his own he really isn't a factor.

When we traded CMC it made no sense to not trade him.  Had we made that trade we could have used those picks to BY and we would have had our #1 pick in 2024.  Missing that trade with the Rams really screwed us.

Should've just resigned Burns after not accepting the 2 first rounders. He is one of the better "bang for your buck" pass rushers in the league. His contract aged well. Now, we'll keep drafting edge rushers in hopes they produce like Brian Burns when we could've used those picks on other positions.

Burns is just feasting on never having to face a double team because everyone else that D line is elite. And guess what - teams still ran at him this year and the Giants defense was awful against the run because of it.

That being said, it was never a question that he could win 1 on 1 pass Rush battles at a good clip. His problem with us is the fact that he always whiffed on his sacks

When we didn't trade him to the Rams or the Bears (I believe the Bears said they would take one of Brown/ Burns/DJ Moore) we should have just signed him and kept him.  We should have traded him to the Rams obviously and we should have kept DJ and traded Burns.  We made all three wrong choices with Burns lol.

No you dont.  He had all those records for years before his final season. Whether career or season he had them all years before his final season in which he played 6 games.
