Josh Allen has similar physical measurables to Cam and is a damn good quarterback in his own right, but he's never done anything like running over the entire conference throwing to the likes of Jerricho Cotchery and Ted Ginn Jr en route to the Super Bowl.

edit: I have no idea where "john allen" came from

What makes me laugh is in recent years some folks have taken every opportunity to tell others how superior Allen is to Newton as a passer as if Cam was insignificant. That and the fact that sooooo many self proclaimed "lifelong" Bills fans have popped up over the last several years is why I feel zero sympathy for their playoff woes.

Crazy they fired McD and promoted Beane... I think Beane has screwed them over more than McD.

Wild that this is what got McD fired when Josh Allen completely poo the bed with his best chance to reach the Superb owl

You see, y'all are saying this, but they basically had equal power on personnel decisions. McDermott was the one coaching and couldn't get it done. I don't know why that's so difficult for people to deal with. And it's not like they didn't have enough to win the Super Bowl (for several years), McDermott just couldn't get it done.

I agree that Allen had a bad game. Fumbling the ball and giving away three points was bad, but they probably should've just taken a knee anyway (which speaks squarely to coaching).

Had they kneeled the ball, the entire fanbase would have said fire McD for not trying to get a FG there. Not his fault Allen has 0 awareness and didn't think somebody would hit him from behind.

Not sure about the equal personnel decision things being true, but if that's the case you clean house of both of them, not just McD. Their best receiver was a guy they picked up off the streets a few weeks ago

I don’t know about lifelong. I liked Marv Levy a lot. I love the crazy fugs that go out and fill a stadium when it is below zero. I haven’t had a player crush on a Bill, not even OJ.

Kind of liked Flutie. Liked Steve Trasker,Tasker whater… gritty ST player. But not crushing on them.
And then recently we have had a pipeline of players, coaches, FO, the whole deal. I root for our former people, unless we are playing them.

I someone thinks that’s bad, fug what they think.

McD probably has another HC job before the SB. If Beane had gotten the ax I doubt he lands another GM gig right away.

So you say, but we'll never know. We do know that there are seven head coaching jobs available (which is not surprising) and one GM job available, and with how relatively fast head coaching positions are generally filled, it wouldn't be surprising at all for Sean McDermott to get hired. That's just the nature of the beast. If there were seven GM jobs available and Beane just magically got the axe, he would likely be hired as well. He has done a good job as GM over his tenure, and I think that's pretty much indisputable. McDermott has done a good job as a head coach. I think that's pretty much indisputable as well. Trying to blame one or the other more or less for the Bills lack of getting to the championship is not cut-and-dried. I think most of it falls on the players choking and lack of execution. Just the way I see it.
