I despise him but Sean Payton is certainly a good offensive mind and he can get results out of some seriously mediocre QB's.

Yeah I don’t even think Nix is that good. He’s closer to Bryce than he is to a legit franchise QB IMO. But Payton is a wayyy better offensive mind than Canales.

Interesting that they just brought up the point of having a real backup QB because your season can be over from one bad break if you don't. Hope Dan is listening.

I mean, Stidham on paper really isn’t a “real backup QB.” Obviously Payton saw something he liked enough to rely on him as a backup but it’s not like Stidham is a former starter who had some success and is known as a top backup (like Foles was when he won with the Eagles).

I consistently see other NFL teams hit gigantic deep shots downfield and we rarely ever see Bryce do that.

His lack of physical traits can be so fuging frustrating we have to sit and watch him barely dink and dunk downfield most games

That Denver deep ball wasn't because Stidham has a cannon.  It was because the Denver coaching staff used motion to identify a zone defense they saw on tape, and then they exploited it.

Bryce could've easily made that throw.  Our issue on big plays is our coaching staff lacks any innovation or ability to spot when a defense is vulnerable to open up deep opportunities.

Bryce deserves blame for some things, but he can throw a football 50 yards to a wide open receiver.

Maybe not, but he can run the system and doesn't look like he's got one foot in the NFL grave and one on a banana peel. You have to have someone capable. Dalton most definitely has not been the past 2 years, arguably 3.

There's a ton of interesting  Backkup- Level QBs that you could take a stab at in later rounds in the draft this year

Everyone was thinking this would be a great QB class a year ago and most of them didn't end up being great. Which means there's going to be a lot of them still on the board in the mid to late rounds.

Ex. Drew Allar, Cade Klubnik,  Garrett Nussmier, Carson Beck, Trindidad Chambliss, Diego Pavia,  Joey Aguilar

none of them really jump off the screen but there's always a chance you could get a diamond in the rough.
