Lee made all the right moves in the 4th and OT. I would’ve brought Kon in to end the game and for OT. I would’ve been wrong

What? We made no adjustments to Miami's zone in the 4th Q and went from being up like 10 to down like 5 before the dumbass called a timeout.

Also had a chance on multiple possessions late to call a timeout when our offense looked way out of sync and did nothing.

I'm happy we won, but it was in spite of coaching. If Coby doesn't hit that ridiculous 3 on a terribly designed in bounds play at the end of the regulation, we lose the game.

I don't think it's a rhythm issue for Kon. I think his legs are gone. It's his first NBA season and he's played a ton of minutes and been super important to the team. I'm glad he keeps shooting but I think it's more tired legs than a slump. We will need him if we make the series against Detroit but I think reducing his minutes and playing white and williams more might be the answer.

Watching him throughout the game he just looked exhausted. He's had a hell of a rookie season and early on looked like a five year veteran at times. He's a premier young talent. And you know he was disappointed with himself. Every rookie hits this point eventually. He'll adjust. I expect him to bounce back against the Magic/Sixers on Friday.

The league is in fact reviewing the bam trip for possible suspension and fine for Lamelo Ball. Just lol

Yeah I mean we got mugged all game, at least 20 fouls not called so not surprised if they league takes action on the small market team.  It would be their MO.  But Detroit has plays like that 10 times a game so not sure?

It was a dumb play, but everyone is watching in slowmo but it really was like a quick thing that happened and he DID get his head hit before that (no call btw) and I think Bam was out of bounds too (no call).  I think Bam was moving already, Melo isn't that strong of a player to be honest and it didn't look like much effort was put in.  Also history should play a part and Melo isn't a dirty player, it's not Draymond we're talking about here.  But the NBA is the NBA so

Largely seems like Hornets fans are the few saying LaMelo didn't do anything wrong. I don't personally think there was any malice on his part. But when you watch the clip you can see why someone without the attachment to the team would perceive it the way they do. But they also need the added context of the Heat flopping up and down the court throughout the first half.

I think we've got a problem to be honest. Melo tripped Bam earlier this year too. I got 💩 on but I really think they are going to suspend him because it's Charlotte. I wouldn't even be surprised if they wait till after the game today to decide. If Orlando wins he's suspended if Philly wins he's fined

More than likely it's going to end up a flagrant 1 and a fine.

If the league deems it a flagrant 2 and suspends him well after the fact that sets a hell of a precedent and will undoubtedly put the league in a precarious position because you know damn well something else like this will happen in the playoffs. It's a physical game maybe less so than it used to be but still.

It was reckless and worthy of a fine by Melo but the internet is acting liked he grabbed Bams by the ankles like Hulk did Loki, give me a break. Ridiculous how many people are convinced it was "obviously intentional" and comparing to Draymond, who got suspended in part because he had a history. Seems like a lot of people are just looking for an excuse to hate on him and Bridges for their behavior off the court.

On the other hand it going to be a dark cloud over the rest of the playoffs and maybe LaMelo's career if they don't suspend him so I kinda hope they just get it over with.

There's already a dark cloud. If you peruse other fans comments pretty much anywhere regarding the Hornets you'll always eventually come across someone that points out the obvious that LaMelo Ball is an enabler of domestic violence and Miles Bridges is an abuser. If people are still watching after that then intentionally or unintentionally tripping a Heat player isn't going to move the needle any more or less.

The only reason some folks are saying he should be suspended or should’ve been ejected is because ultimately Bam never returned.

It was the 2nd quarter, didn’t look serious (he fell down, happens every other play of an NBA game), and he limped to the locker room.

Everyone watching and everyone in that building expected him to return.  I was *shocked* when they said he was ruled out.  If he came back at any point, nobody would be talking about it.

Give Melo a fine and let’s move on.  Remember, it was a no-call on the court.
