NFL Free Agency

Recommended Posts

Well, the next big thing in the NFL cycle is free agency. Here's some key dates to keep in mind.

February 17th: deadline for transition and franchise tags

March 9th: legal "tampering" period where teams can legally begin negotiating with free agents. We'll know where a lot of the major targets are heading before free agency technically begins.

March 11th: start of the new league year and official kickoff of free agency

Sam Howell or Geno if he gets cut

No. Morgan, Canales, and staff are not capable of reclamation projects.

Get a guy in here who knows how to play the position at a high level.  We'd be the division favorites, and capable of competing with anyone in the playoffs.

Also, have to hit on first and second round picks, which we haven't done historically. Hopefully this is where we get our ILB and LT from.

Geno Smith? You're joking, right?

You think Bryce sucks but want to bring in the literal worst QB in the league from last year?

I'd be OK with Sam Howell.

Seriously. The team that let Geno walk won the SB. The team that brought Geno in to start is picking #1 overall in the draft. I mean... damn. That's amazing. LOL

*Oops, saw someone above was already ahead of me on that.

I'm not a Geno fan, but LV had the worst Oline I've seen in a long time. Jeanty had a little over 800 of his 975 yards after contact. That's insanely bad blocking. I don't want Geno here, but I can't fault anyone for looking like complete ass behind that poo show.

as a backup qb on a cheap deal I would absolutely welcome Geno with open arms.  1 bad year in a terrible situation doesnt erase the fact that he has thrown for 4000 yards multiple times.

Would I want him as a long term solution, hell no, but he is light years better than Dalton and probably light years better than bryce

Geno Smith is not only a trash QB he is completely out of touch and unappreciative of the massive contract he never even deserved in the first place.

I wouldn't want him on the Panthers even if he played for free.
