This draft is not strong at WR.

Heres a good report on the groups, WR comes in 4th. Not much to diss-agree with, imo. I have found slot guy in 4th-6th on many mocks. There are some close groups, but nearly everyone agree about QB and RB being the worst.

OT has a cliff after the first 6 dudes, just wait until the 4th.

No one's really talking about DT for the Panthers, and our DBs should really be straight for the coming season except for a free safety.

Fs is where I think we could make a big jump in talent depending on how the bored falls.

not thrilled with the cb or lb depth, especially given Jaycee’s health issues.

We need another guy to compliment db in the middle.

I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries.

Carolina Receives:

DT

Dexter Lawrence II

New York Receives:

2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for

Lawrence

after his 0.5-sack season in 2025.

WR

: A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense.

2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value.

2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the

Adam Thielen

 trade.

-----

Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh

John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.

Just my 2cents

These arguments and  justification for pre deciding  WR just dont make any logical sense. If one slips then ok. Not my preference but so be it. We wont know whats best until the actual draft unfolds.

I agree and the best we can hope for is that this is all a smoke screen for some reason.  I think in the end we trade down a few spots

If these two guys like Rodriguez it's good enough for me

I just get the vide that Rodriguez is "our guy" this draft and Morgan is gonna find a way to get him. I'd really like him in the 2nd, but every other team also would take him in the 2nd which means we would have to trade up real early in the 2nd round or trade down and take him late in the 1st.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised to see us take Rodriguez at 19 in a "woah" move if we can't trade down. Morgan likes to double dip positions to turn them into strengths, and Lloyd in FA and Rodriguez by any means does that.

Would prefer the OPs scenario, but don't think it's realistic at this point. A slight trade down in the 1st, get Rodriguez in the 20s, and then give me all your big men after that.

I would eventually come around to the pick if thats the case but we can all agree 19 is wayyyyy too high for him here.   I mean poo I would rather get a safety at 19 then try and trade back up for JR.  Coming out of the first 2 rounds with Theinenman or emw paired with JR now that would be sick
