We def need OL as we seemingly always do and more protection for Young the better and some of our offseason moves help the defense with great potential both are former 1st round picks we got simply with money which is a high reward potential for not much of a risk adding those LBs.

Even if we double dipped on the line with our 2nd rounder I wouldn't even mind that.

How does a physical unicorn get skipped over by 4 different GM’s who drafted OT? Usually those players fly up the draft boards in the last few months.. Its because his film in real pass drop situations that actually translates to the NFL leaves a lot to be desired.. Yes, he can be great based off his potential, but that’s all projection. That’s not the player he is now. I remember drafting a WR based off “potential and projection” 2 years ago. How’s he doing?

He gave up the lowest pressure % in college football. What else are you looking for exactly?

What holes does this team have besides QB?

Morgan and co have raised the floor in the last couple of years. Yes you could improve every position, but we don't have replacement level guys starting anymore.

Is this a serious question?

LB

S

DL

RB

OL

This was the 29th best offense in the NFL last year that has about 1 1/2 offensive weapons.

At fuging Georgia dude, come on.

they run the ball 45 times a game.

So he was a starting OL on a team that run the ball well. Noted thanks

Year four of still affordable “franchise” qb is definitely when you draft swing tackles that won’t be able to start the first year. The panthers are technically in win now mode

I’m a UGA fan. He’ll be fine but he’s not ready. This feels panicky to me.

How is any of this “win now mode”? We’re not even sold on the QB and head coach long term but need to draft immediate starters? Make it make sense.

There was a pretty strong Huddle consensus that 19 would ne a pick to artificially prop up Bryce so they can justify the trade for him i.e. Sadiq, Concepcion or another WR.

Freeling is not that.

I’m a Georgia fan. I’ve watched almost every snap of this kids career. Hell be fine. But he’s not Broderick jones or anything he’s not throwing around Alabama players

this is the wrong player at the wrong time for where the team should theoretically be.

and if we’re prognosticating potential tackle injuries, this is less about ickey and more about Moton.

This was the right pick and the best possible outcome that could have happened. They were fortunate that Freeling was there honestly. Only 1 tackle taken before him is a possible LT and that guy doesn't have the upside Freeling has. Also Freeling has a much higher floor. This was an awesome pick.

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
