That's it. How do you feel about this draft class.

You can always nitpick, but this is a solid draft. My areas of concern are TE, LB and RB. Our TE room is bottom of the league, no depth at LB and if Chubba gets hurt, we're in trouble. But this is solid

There's a chance Brooks can play. But if there's any position where I'd be ok picking someone off the street if needed, it's RB

Here's the thing about our TE situation and the 2026 draft.  First, do we utilize them like we should.  Many of you say no.  Second, many of you say to let our current stable have another year.  Both those points are highly subjective.

So this leads to point number 3 which is factual and probably most important.  This year more TEs were taken in this draft than in any draft in NFL history.  With the consensus being this was a deep draft for TE and if the majority of these TEs stick or given multiple years to prove themselves, we may be in position to not have to compete as much next year for a quality TE if we deem we need one.

I was hoping for a RB late but they say it is a down year for RB maybe there wasn’t a great option. But I don’t feel like building that room should be thought of as a finished job yet.

Qb in 7th if for no other reason to try and throw a little bit more of a scare into Bryce.

I agree with your overall assessment, but don't agree that taking a tackle in the first isn't a sexy pick. A huge athletic tackle with high upside is pretty exciting.

I agree and its great if he helps the Team, but thats what ickey was supposed to be two Yeats ago..

fuged if he doesnt pan out to be the cornerstone i hoped him to be.

I don't know if you saw the interview with Freeling after he was picked.  He said give him about two weeks and he could play RT.  So it gives me hope that if Moton wears down he could move over to RT.  Also, I would think he could play inside if necessary.

I'm good with the Freeling pick. LT is a position that doesn't hurt from sitting half the season, just to get used to NFL edge rushers, similar to rookie QBs.

Going to update my post because I thought we were done after round 5.

Freeling - A highly rated OT that gives us several options going forward, especially with Icky and Moton.   Not sexy but great pick, IMO

Hunter - A violent man.  You put him with DB and Scourton and our recent FA.  Our front seven looks pretty damn good.

Brazzell - A big WR with ungodly speed.  Gives DC and Young options at WR and a deep WR Room

Lee - CB that can help our back end.  We'll see where he end up.

Hecht - 2nd rated Center in the draft and we got him in round 5.  Can't argue with the pick.  Our OL depth was very thin.  He'll help

Wheatly - fills a need at Safety.  How can you be upset.

Kuwatch - This is a Dan Morgan pick.  The guy has elite speed.  Rated 387 but mostly because he only had one year of experience.  Love this pick

Overall, Dan Morgan picked Dan Morgan type of players.  I know there are going to be several arm chair GMs that will nitpick this draft but IMO it is another solid draft class.
