I think I was here in the 04ish range

I rose to power through feats of strength both on and off line. I now moderate this place like a sleepy nurse at a retirement community

I was once hip.  I’m now old enough to reject new forms of online communities bc people suck. Except for you.

wtf is a Substack

What up y’all. I like threads like this where we can stroll down memory lane. I remember the insane amount of site traffic pre-crash when we signed Keyshawn Johnson, 06 I believe. Raging about the Cowboys Christmas Eve loss in 05 (Peppers touched that FG attempt as sure as Cotchery caught it). When I found the huddle I basically had a first born baby, now I’ve got one in college and one in high school. Life comes at you fast, but the Panthers and the Huddle has been a steady constant in my life for many years.  Those who have been here, y’all are cool with me any time any where.

Cheers, genitals!

Did you ever figure out that butter belongs in the fridge? Or was that a different Huddler?

Any opinion that isn’t sheep think will get neg rep to oblivion without any rebuttal worth substance. If you mention anything negative about Bryce you’re at -22 in under 2 mins it’s wild.

I think the overwhelming majority of people like that are the newer younger fans. The insecurity is sad.

I will take a minute to remember Panthersfan or Pantherzfan, I forget his name. He passed on, and was a huge fan.

He was in the stands and the photo of Jenkins blocking the gw XP at Tampa in 2003 caught him standing up right in the middle of everyone cheering. So he is immortalized in a sense, in that photo.

I remember going to the Carolina/Viking game in 2005.  I met one of the Huddlers (forget his name) He had a pimped out Carolina Van that was awesome.  I joined his tailgate.  Sadly, he passed away a year or so later.  It was probably the saddest news I ever heard about this place.

That may have been the guy I just posted about. Too late for me to edit, I left that out. The van and the timeline sound like there’s a fair chance it is the same guy.

    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
    • I mean, our TE room does suck but we had other pressing needs and no surefire upgrades in the draft. I was surprised at how many TEs went in the first three rounds. I think most everyone was. You want a guy who projects at least as a guy who has the potential ceiling to be a starter in those rounds and I didn't see 11 of those in this draft. Off the top of my head, I think that's how many TEs went in the first three rounds. It was in that range. That's roughly 10% of the overall picks. Definitely did NOT see that coming with this TE class.
