Blaine Gabbert: Some coaches put off by Gabbert

According to the National Football Post, a number of NFL coaches have been put off by the way Missouri QB Blaine Gabbert has conducted himself this offseason.

Based on the information he's gathered, writer Wes Bunting believes Gabbert could slide "a lot further than many think come April. Gabbert is still undecided about attending draft ceremony in April.

Same article had some less than flattering things to say about my guy also so I am staying out of this one.

The more scouts dig, the more I am finding they are turned off on Auburn QB Cam Newton. Citing that he’s a me first guy and has some real character flaws behind the scenes. One scout said he handles himself flawlessly in front of the camera, but when they are off he’s not the same guy.

for everyone that doesn't want full bias against any particular less than perfect QB prospect

what is with this site and not posting links for information lately?

thank you, Cracka, for actually providing the link.

this forum is funny. lately I've learned:

-if it's positive about Newton it's spin

-if it's negative about Newton it's spin

-if it's positive about Gabbert it's spin

-if it's negative about Gabbert it's probably the truth.

:D

We have had a lot of stupid smokescreen jokes. But this is actually an area were I would call smokescreen to both Newton and Gabbert.

I find it funny some anonymous scout suddenly feel the urgency to say anything to the reporters. Unless they have an agenda, maybe the dude is from the Bengals.

People need to stop talking about Blaine Gabbert. He sucks ass and there's zero indication that the Panthers would take him. He's about as irrelevant as Nick Fairley.

Yes...we should only talk about Cam. A run first QB who can't read defenses...can't make progressions. who takes off if his primary receiver is not open...who only takes snaps in the shotgun. Yes, he is the savior.

Like every other run first QB (Vick, Smith, etc.) that has come out....he is going to change the game. Guess what...he won't.

Unless he learns to be a pass first QB like Vick did (and yes it took 10 damn years for him to do that), he will be nothing more than a highlight reel that does not win poo.

That is all.

Agreed...this is the most depressing draft we have encountered since 96. Not even fun to discuss anymore :(

If only Luck wouldve declared, we would be split 50/50 with the Cammunists.

Cam lovers should stop arguing everything they say is not worth a damn because it's all a load of bias bullpoo. Only people not wanting a QB at all or aren't really lobbying for anyone seem to have the most useful information and perspectives. I would say the same for 'over hyped' Gabbert lovers but... there really are none on here.

    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
    • Yeah your right the owner was copping hand shandies while all this was going down
    • I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
