Why in the hell do analyst think we have no talent?

I expect our team to win the SuperBowl every year! I'd say it's an optimistic point of view, not dillision. We have the talent to get it done. If you think we're only gonna win 7 games I'd say that you're dillusional!!!

Talent is one thing. Skill is another. But there's a lot more to a winning team, much less a Super Bowl team than talent and skill.

I'm sorry, but having such expectations of a team like the 2011 Panthers (whose roster isn't even solidified yet) goes far, far beyond the realm of optimism and lands somewhere between the territories of asinine and ludicrous.

I'm all for high hopes. But with Super Bowl expectations, you'll surely be disappointed this year.

I'd bet a Llama on it.

Let em poo on our team. They do it even when we are good. It used to bother me but now I couldn't care less.

The only thing that matters is what happens September 11 and beyond. Until then they can say whatever they want.

Plus many of you guys make the classic mistake of believing these guys know what the fug they are talking about.

in today's in NFL a team can go from the outhouse to the penthouse.....and from the penthouse to the outhouse in 1-2 years.......with few being able to predict the rise and falls.

Carolina could quickly rebound. They could not. Anything is possible.

I find it funny the OP put Brayton in the up and coming DEs but not Hardy.

Beyond that, for the most part, the majority of analysts don't follow the Panthers closely for one simple reason, there's no money in it. These people work for websites that need site hits to pay for advertising, and the Panthers being a small market team...well you see the point.

What they see is a 2-14 team that was completely inept on offense, and a defense that struggled down the stretch. While we know that the issues stemmed from below mediocre QB play, horrendous play calling, injuries, etc on offense and that the defense struggled simply by virtue of being on the field so much, most analysts don't pay enough attention or care enough to see past our struggles and record. Hardly any analysts are looking at game tape for our team and seeing it's speed and athleticism or what players are good and what players are fugging up on a regular basis.

If you get butthurt because analysts think we will suck, well you might want to get some preparation H because you're going to be sore for a while. They won't understand till we win, and then I guarantee there will be analysts spouting off at the mouth about how great of a coach Rivera, and how he achieved so much out of nothing.

Im just gonna take a wild stab in the dark and say it has alot to do with having a 2-14.... awarding us with the 1st pick in the draft. I think its wonderful because we didnt suck that bad, they were just inexperienced. And we've adding some key pieces to beef up our battered offensive and defensive lines. And because of the rebuilding process, we've afforded ourselves the opportunity to draft the Lebron James of football.

I'll take it.

I mean I understand we looked pretty horrible last year, but we aren't THAT bad. With proper coaching and good QB play we could easily get 7-8 wins this year.

with good QB play and good coaching.....Carolina could easily be a 9-11 win team. Those 2 factors simply have that big of an impact.

ESPN football experts don't put half the effort into their job that we as fans do.

I bet any coach in the NFL would look at our roster and say we've got talent.

Yep. The ESPN guys do put effort in though, it's just that all their effort goes into researching the big market teams, but we're just an afterthought to them.

We're not that far away, talent wise. We're just really young at some positions.

Easily? Have you seen our schedule? We will be lucky to get 6 wins to be brutally honest. I personally think we go 4-12.. not hating, just being a realist.
