We are going to get rolled!

the three things the cards have going for them.

1) fitz

2) playing at home

3) our DTs and CBs

that might be enough for them to roll. otherwise they suck. if our defense can't stop fitz and can't get pressure on that overrated and overpaid QB they got suckered into trading for, then we are toast ad we are going to have to rely on our offense to all of a sudden turn into a scoring machine.

i have very little confidence in the defenses ability to stop anyone at this point. hopefully some things will happen to change that, but that is our glaring weak spot that will likely be exploited over and over.

It's too bad that we ran all of our offensive and defensive packages in the preseason. He acts like we threw everything we had at vanilla defenses and offenses and couldn't do anything.

Maybe he is right but we didn't show all our cards on offense or defense either.... I think. :)

We will know Sunday.

TBH the Cards should be fearing us. They have no game tape, No idea who our stars are besides Smith, and have to figure out what we are going to do on both offense and defense with what is said above. We are just as dangerous as the Cards at the moment.

Arizona has Fitzgerald and not much else. They do NOT have "many weapons".

they have a QB i nKolb that could not muster a winning record on a very good team....and who has 1 TD in the preseason. He is the QB flavor or the month, but will prove to be completely over-hyped.

Eagles raped the Cards in that trade....and the Cards just don't know it yet.

Exactly, they have one freaking player worth a damn and that is it.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
