Nothing positive to take from this game.

One of the worst games to watch.

And we did not lose because of talent.

We are poorly coached, we are making the same mistakes every week. Even we the defense puts together several good series, the offense can not take advantage.

I know we have injuries, I know that it hurts the defense and funnels down to the special teams, but this is more than lack of talent.

Even with injuries, there is no way Tennessee is this much better than us.

This is a perfect example of how we let a bad play snowball.

I am still behind them and always will be, but this has been the most hopeless feeling I have had since last season.

I agree and this isn't some gut based instant reaction to today's game

Our coaching has not been good this season. We have a strong offensive playbook and that's about it imho

With that said, I want our current coaches to begin stepping up. I'm not calling for their heads...but there was some reason teams over the years haven't hired Rivera as their HC

...but I do understand its not just coaching but its a big concern and I was sh*t on a few weeks ago when I brought it up by the typically huddle mob mentality.

Again, they need to step it up

I am not the reactionary type poster.

I am not saying we need to fire Rivera. I usually mock those people.

But, something is not adding up.

I'll tell ya what, we are going to see the true character of our players come out. We are going to find out who wants to be a Panther in the future.

Coaching staff was a problem today, didn't get our guys ready for this game and looked unable to adjust on offense. Defense played better, and I do think part of that is scheme and coaches finally getting the bye to work with players. Remember a few of our starters on D weren't here for training camp.

Totally lacking discipline though on both sides of the ball.

Rivera on the sidelines is starting to annoy me. I preferred Fox's gum chewing and clapping to Stoic-Sunglasses.

Special teams is beyond abysmal.

Chud needs to stop getting so far away from the run so early. Our backs were getting good yards. Need to find them ways to get the ball in space.

Funny. I remember saying that last thing last year.

i quit watching and i have no problem admitting it.

i feel for those people that actually had to pay to see that game.

absolutely miserable with no redeeming qualities.

simply pathetic in all aspects.

first quarter of the season was fun to watch. the second...i hung in there, still optimistic.

if this game was any indicator of what the rest of the season is going to look like i'm going to find something else to do on sundays. probably just take a nap.

things will be better next year and i'm still excited about what these guys can do, but i don't feel like putting up with another year like last. my optimism has it's limits. it's just ugly an i don't feel like subjecting myself to that when there are more positive things i can be doing with my time.

    • Really? You don't see why a team can't draft a QB in the 1st round while then starting their former #1 overall pick over them while on the last year of their deal? It puts the team in a TERRIBLE place no matter how the season goes.  If Bryce sucks, you have to answer questions as to why he was still on the team to begin with, let alone starting over the rookie.  If he's good, then you run into the situation the Vikings were in last offseason with sticking with the rookie contract or the the guy who just performed instead of said young QB. It's one thing when teams keep a vet around as a bridge QB, it's something entirely different when that QB is still only in their mid 20's and was taken #1 overall by that team.   That just doesn't happen and not sure it ever has in NFL history before.
    • What is the alternative? - BY, will not play for less then his perceived contract (just like Cam Newton did). So you pay him top of market as befitting a 1st round, Heisman winning, playing birthing QB would get. Or you cut him. - Then we are forced to either sign a stop gap QB / previously failed QB and try to fix him or you spend a 1st round pick and draft a guy, basically resetting the team.  The reality is that we all want a top 5 QB. The problem is there are only 5 of those guys in the world and drafting, even #1 overall doesn't guarantee that.  The other problem is the NFL market. Young QB get paid. Even an average, young QB gets top of market deals. I know a lot of people here think we could sign him to an 'average QB contract' but thats not reality. Didnt happen with Cam wont happen with BY.  So we could let this season flush out and he is again a middling QB. But then we cut and restart or accept it is what it is (including compensation) and build a team around what we have.  My money is on the latter.
