I have some crow to eat, and I'll do so gladly...

So, several weeks back I, in so many words, expressed how "unimpressed" I was with one Greg Hardy... I talked about how I didn't see the intensity of his caricature translate to on-the-field success and all that jazz...

We'll, after seeing what he's done this last half of the season, I have to say how wrong I was.

I'll even go so far as to say that I've also been a little too critical of Charles Johnson and his salary in the past, and that he also has been playing at a level I never expected.

These two guys are playing lights out right now, and that is with a patchwork interior between them... Good for them, and I hope we are able to rely on them for several years to come.

So... Point and laugh... .gif bomb me... call me names... whatever...

But, this crow is delicious...

Go Panthers, and go Hardy and Johnson!

heh... I can see the headlines from the future... "Panthers continue to fug up opposing QBs with their Hardy Johnson!"

There have to have been others like me, that knew he had it. The guy did so much on the field. Special teams, Played UT and DE in some packages. He's all over the field yet because he only produced 3 sacks his first year and then I believe 3.5 sacks last year, folks thought he was a bust. Maybe it's because I didn't have high expectations on a 6th round pick. I was content with his production and the numbers really didn't tell the whole story to be honest. He has always had pressure on the QB. I'm glad he's doing like he is now, a lot of people were calling for his head for no real reason.

Moose Johnson made a good point during the Chicago game where he said Hardy just needs to understand how good he can be. Perhaps he's buying in and just cutting loose.

Outside of his pass rush, he's become a force against the run whereas last season he was a liability. He's obviously put a lot of work in and it's great to see it pay off.

I always knew he had it in him, and I really never wavered. Hardy got some good production in limited time last year. Perhaps not Charles Johnson type production before Johnson was named a starter, but I would think that you would have to see what Hardy could do before mentally dumping him on the scrap heap.
