Yeah im not to comfortable with Riveraball right now. It reminds me of foxball.

I don't mean to argue with ya, but I don't see the comparison. Fox ball was predicated on field position ball control special teams and a strong defense.

Riveraball doesn't rely on field position or ball control we have poo special teams and an over achieving defense.

That great quarterback wasn't so great. 3 turnovers tonight. Can't really blame them on the coach. Although the decision not to try for a fg at the end of regulation was baffling.

he looked pretty good to me. we all know that first int wasn't really an int. he clearly isn't prime peyton anymore, he can't challenge them deep like he used to, but he was far from the problem today. he got them the lead and the defense + running games blew it.

you don't trust your defense to save the game ever.

the safest place for the ball to be is in your offenses hands...i don't care how confident you are in your D. you give the other team the ball and you aren't just daring them to score on you, you're inviting them.

that's why i don't trust rivera, either, btw. that . poo cost us a couple games as well. conservative game management turns you into a doormat.

    • After some of the calls last year probably won't see much of a drop off

Resisting changes that would actually incentivize good performance and not seniority based systems. What a bunch of donkeys. Hope the replacements straight up take their jobs and never give them back. Sick of watching refs script games with no repercussions.
    • Donovan seems like highest risk to me. Lloyd and May have already established relationships with all these kids. There’s probably guys hitting the portal that they recruited from HS. And then there’s the possibility of transferring their own guys from their current teams. They’ve also been recruiting the HS kids for like the next 5 years already. Look at the Iowa coach who hit the ground running by transferring all his guys from his D2 program. Or going across sports to Cignetti transferring all his JMU guys year one then building off that to a national title year 2. Donovan is starting from square one having been in the NBA so long and he’s already 60. So you’re potentially punting year 1 for a guy you are just hoping to be a 10 year hire while you figure out how to actually develop your next home grown 20yr guy. That’s 1/10th of the time you have him, more or less at best. The hope would be that he would find some high level assistants who have been working the college recruiting trails already, but then are you giving up his ideal staff just to get a foothold in recruiting and transfers. Think Belichick year one was bad? Imagine how much worse it would be without Steve Belichicks transfer portal pulls. Hoping Mays or Lloyd are all they’re cracked up to be.
