I seriously hate this guy.  He's a terrible game announcer and he seems to always hate the Panthers.  Not to mention butchering our players' names at least 3-5 times a game.

Those who can't coach, broadcast; those who can't broadcast, write meaningless rankings.

 

And then there is Brian Billick, who fails at all of the above.

9 years as a head coach, only 3 losing seasons, a super bowl championship, a couple division championships, 80-64 overall record with 5-3 in the playoffs.

 

The guy obviously knows nothing about football. 

 

But I do think he tends to hate on the Panthers a little too much, and that he's wrong in this case.  I would like to know what he's basing it on, and it wouldn't surprise me if he ranked them that way because he thinks we will struggle early and then collapse as the players realize that because of the slow start, Rivera won't return.  I can't see any other reason to make them so low.

This is really the first time on defense that we've had the pieces in place to play our deceptive and extremely aggressive style of defense. It made SB winning $100 million dollar contract QB Joe Flacco look like a fugging moron out there. He was scared and chucked the ball to protect himself from getting violated, and also got fooled badly and threw picks. He's one the better QBs we'll face this season, and he got destroyed. Period.

 

I'm not saying we're headed to the playoffs, but 28th? Holy smokes.

Ok, so I was talking with my father this morning, and he told me that during the Saints game last night Billick announced his power rankings......  with the Panthers 28th out of 30...

 

I did not watch the game, so I didn't see this...  Did anyone else?  Can anyone confirm this?  Is dad wrong?  28th, seriously???

 

I don't participate often in rage against the media, but 28th?

 

If this is truly what he thinks (unless dad is just wrong), I'd love to know his thought process behind it...

 

I've always liked Billick, but if this is where he feels we rank, that's just moronic...

Billick has called Panther games for Fox since the 2010 season I believe....out of spite I would rank Carolina that low too.
