Official 2013 Prediction Thread

CRA

Recommended Posts

Ok, we all talk the talk about knowing what will or won't happen. Here is your thread to lay it out there and can serve as a reference to show your stupidity or wicked smarts.

Record - 8-8

Kuechly will be a candidate for DPOY but fall short of winning. Our record and secondary will unfortunately be used against him.

Frank Alexander will finish 2nd in sacks

Ted Ginn finishes behind Smith and Olsen in receiving yards. Nothing too spectacular but turns into the big chunk play guy for us and becomes Cam's favorite target for the big play downfield.

Tolbert will lead all RBs and WRs in TD scores as they get away from Cam taking the goaline punishment.

Breakout player is Josh Norman. Wildly inconsistent but leads the team in INTs.

8-8 gets RR fired unfortunately and CRA bitches about firing a good HC who GMs didn't do enough to help him

Offensive Line can not hold up and is exposed.

Cam has a couple of late come from behind victories and makes the Pro Bowl  Emerges as the clear leader on the offense

Smitty has another great year

Armanti shows some flash but still does not impress and there is no clear #2 receiver on the team

Defense shines and "Monsters Inc" moniker goes national although secondary gives up some garbage points

Team goes 9-7 finishes 1 game behind Atlanta in the division and miss the playoffs.

Gettleman and Big Cat decide that RR stays.  Even though we don’t make the playoff the coaching is sound and does not warrant a regime change

Jordan Gross retires at the end of the season

Key needs to be addressed in the offseason

  1. Cam Extension
  2. Address OL
  3. Find a 1st and 2nd receiver
  4. Shore up the secondary

10-6 (Miss Playoffs) I hope I'm wrong.

The games we should have won last year, that the D could not close (I'm not saying they lost it FOR US, but they seemed to come up short at the end) we win this year.

4-2 Division record

Sweep Falcons, split with Bucs/Saints

We keep Rivera and move on to draft a top Olineman in the draft, 2nd round DB and sign a top wide receiver in free agency.

7-9

Oline poses huge problems. Shula stubbornly tries to power run behind a makeshift oline. Gettis emerges as solid #3 and Ginn gets us a few ST return TDs. JStew goes to IR. Barner surprises everybody and ends up getting most of the carries as Dwill wears down late in the year. Cam has another solid year but he can't do everything.

Defense shines as Luke, Beason, and Davis are healthy. Hardy comes back to earth a bit but our three DE rotation gets close to 30 sacks. We lead the NFCS in turnover margin but big plays hurt us in the end.

The schedule and coaching ultimately are the reasons we finish 7-9.

Barner ends up to be our No. 2 RB.

Smith, Olsen, LaFell, Gettis, DA, Tolbert will be the order for receiving yards.
