Forbes response to my letter re: Chris Smith article

Apparently, Forbes has some pretty lax journalistic standards now.

In addition to the piece on Cam, one of their political reporters just wrote an article about Venezuela that was favorable to the sitting government. The same government that has done everything in their power to silence the opposition press, that openly steals elections, that is one of the most corrupt on the face of the earth, etc. This of course generated a lot of criticism by democratically minded people in South America.

Forbes reaction? They took the article off their website as if to pretend it never existed. So at least in my mind, Forbes no longer has any credibility. Fug them and their personal agendas.

New York City is very close to electing a Sandinista as their next mayor.

Wow. I didn't know that.

However, at least in the US there are enough checks and balances to minimize the impact of extremists. That is not the case in many parts of the world.

I got a much more appropriate reply via Twitter from Sam Gardner, who rehashed the Forbes guy's article for Fox Sports.  I pointed out that other star players were as guilty as Cam, he replied:

@QC_RB Thanks for passing along. Will be interesting to see if Cam and others keep using them in light of the revelation.

At least he was an adult about it.

Thanks to Chris Smith for pointing this out; I now cannot watch a football game without noticing those stupid clips. And yes, players were wearing them on Sunday even after the fine....

Same here....all have basically done is watched face masks since he wrote this....and they are everywhere. Which does speak to how little research he did. I mean it isn't like he is unique.... a lot of what we read is pure bs.

    • I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.
    • We need to hope this scenario plays our next week he fails with pressure…what that means with Evero, is beyond me
    • Woukd be a great addition You know the issues from my prespective, 2 things the Panthers must do 1. Edge or pass rushers or 2 oline or 3 oline or as Andy Reid says, when in doubt, draft a lineman it is time   That oline is troubling plus a small person at QB  they   1. Can do a lot better than mayes at center, 2. and lewis has had injuries all season. 3. Moton should not have  been resigned long term, 4. corbett is a shadow and will probably be released  5 and Christianson coming off Achilles   6 and the kicker, would be Ickey’s contract if they decide to keep him INMO rookie and contracts will be needed to offset all that
