This Loss Is On Everyone [That make y'all arguers any happier?]

Smitty and LaFell had Key drops, and Cam's INTs were the final nails in the coffin.  I don't know exactly what the solutions are, but we're obviously gonna have to beef up the O-line, and get some game-changing gamers in here at WR.  I don't know that Cam is or isn't the answer with our O-line being so bad.

Basically, we are just not ready. Let's not fool ourselves anymore.

Good thread/post even though you will probably be flamed for starting it. Like you said we cannot kid ourselves anymore. We just aren't ready. We just do not have the talent or staff to be a playoff contender at this time. We need an offensive line, some receivers, and a better secondary (although OL and WR is much more important).

Did anyone else notice that 9/10 of cams throws were into double coverage? Is our playcalling that shitty? Is Cam not looking off defenders? Is Cam Newton just saying fug it, imma throw it anyway? Or is there something else going on? I don't know, but I am concerned. Our season is over, we see now that we are very shitty as a team plain and simple.

None of our play calling seemed designed to deal with the blitzing packages they were using.

One of these days we will have a designed roll out, too.

Pretty much a huge loss on the part of our offense, but I think coaches deserve some blame here, too.  Cam had terrible decision making and seemed unable to do anything but force the ball to Smitty in the second half...

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
