I have never said anything bad about Luke but...

Zod you should create a butt hurt button. I could use one right now.

So no actual response? You're saying that people complaining about Cam's terrible season should be complaining just as much about Kuechly, who's a surefire Pro Bowl selection and the leader of one of the best scoring defenses in the league.

That's a dumbassed comparison and you should feel dumb for this being the best you've got.

3rd year starter vs a 1 year...Luke didn't even start at the beginning of his rookie year.

Seems legit

Cam has made more Pro Bowls than Kuechly.

MLB is the QB of the defense. That PI cost us the game. Getting beat against Tampa cost us the game

He doesn't get us into good defensive position on key drives so we get beat in the fourth quarter.

At this point every 4th quarter lead we have lost is on him. Which means we should be 3-1 but Kuechly has cost us.

Not only that but Kuechly was a 3 or 4 years starter in college so he should know better.

We just need a MLB that is a leader and that is clutch. I'm not sure Luke is that guy and the fact the defense has blown so many fourth quarter leads proves it.

Amirite?

When the 4th quarter rolls around, you don't expect Kuechly to play like the worst linebacker in the league like you expect Cam to play like the worst quarterback.

This is a logical fallacy you're employing here. It's called false equivalence. For more information, google false equivalence logical fallacy.

Not one person has criticized Kuechly's play this year because it's been nearly perfect. Cam's inability to get rid of the football faster and his long, long resume of always coming up short in the 4th, on the other hand, is well-documented.

Luke Kuechly is probably the best linebacker in the league already. Cam Newton is around 16th at his position and that's being generous.

There may be a better comparison out there for you to use, but saying people complaining about Cam should complain about Kuechly just as much is, well, retarded.

Losing this bad had dumbed down even some of the more decent people here.  The sarcasm is flat out stupid, especially when you are doing it to defend someone who just turned the ball over 4 times last game.

Last year Cam had a better QB rating and QBR than Luck in the 4th quarter.

Cam has had 8 fourth quarter comebacks that the defense has lost for him.

I don't care about stats it is about wins and Kuechly isn't getting it done.

All I care about are wins and he isnt a winning MLB. Not sure how you can be good in the 4th quarter when you have given up so many 4th quarter leads the last two seasons.

Luke is the leader of the defense and has to make changes on the field. He isn't making good adjustments abdvwe are getting beat because of him.

Other teams don't blow this many leads.

    • I think the book has been fairly written on Darnold, and by and large stays true. He can be rattled by pressure, and will lose his composure. If a team can get to him and have something go wrong in the plan, the mistakes and errors will pile up. Rams have a better offense, Seahawks sport a better defense. Should be a good 1.
    • Not a defense of him...an understanding of the problem. (something you seem to be lacking right now) 🙄 Bryce in a Canales offense is not an example of a stylistic mismatch, but I can give you one if that helps. When he was playing for the Panthers, Cam Newton sat under OC's running Coryell type offenses. Newton had a big arm and was a strong runner. He fit into that sort of attack very well. Then he goes to New England, where at the time they were running an Earhardt-Perkins system (similar to WCO In a lot of what they do but very different terminology). The Patriot offenses back then were heavily based on timing and rhythm style passing, not something that Newton was especially well suited for. So he washed out at New England, not because he had poor ability (his abilities had been on display here on a regular basis) but because he didn't fit what they wanted to do with their offense. I always go back to Jeff Garcia as one of the prime examples of this issue. Garcia in a WCO looked like a world beater. Put him in any other scheme though...yikes!  So again, Young's issues here have nothing to do with any failure to mesh with Canales. Hell, is say Canales has actually done pretty well at adapting his system to who he has rather than trying to jam square pegs into round holes. Again, it doesn't take an elite level of football knowledge to get this. It's pretty basic. But if you're not even capable of understanding what the real problem is, how are you going to know you to find the right solution? 🤔
