On the Chris Long Ejection

I may be the only person who feels this way, but frankly I am GLAD our fans threw bottles at the prick..

And I dont even care what he did or didnt do...I DO care that our fans are beginning to stand up, get into the game, and most importantly, make the rather sterile envoronment that is BoA stadium into something that resembles a FOOTBALL envoronment. Frankly I wish this would happen more

This was by far the BEST game I can recall seeing in years by our team. We didnt play all that great (it sure wasnt in NY against the New York football who?/) but it was a game where I cannot recall seeing as much energy and interest in the game not only by the team...but mostly the fans in recent memory.

I'm wondering why folks were saying that Mitchell was celebrating hurting Bradford. He was clearly hyped at bringing down the QB and celebrating that. Dahl went nuts well afterwards after Mitchell was a ways away.

Just embarrassing all around.  Chris Long is clearly a product of his team.  Jeff Fisher is a sleazy coach.  A poster even made a thread about how his teams play dirty before the game.  Chippy games like that are when you suffer injuries.  CASE AND POINT SAM BRADFORD.

The second bottle that was thrown ,was an empty plastic mini bottle of Jim Bean. It hit Chris Long right in the forehead. The guy in my section that threw it got a free ride to jail. He's a real nice guy, but alcohol will make you do stupid stuff. Security said he could lose his PSL's too.

1. Throw a punch- get ejected... unless you're Harvey Dahl, who clearly threw a punch and was not bounced later in the game.

2. When you get ejected, keep your helmet on, head down and trot to your tunnel, ignoring all taunts and objects along the way.

3. Kind of relevant, Mitchell did stand on the St. Louis sideline after pushing Bradford OB and do his WWE thing, which is why Dahl went berserk.

For the fans:

1. Taunt and shout and call him every name you want- DO NOT THROW POO

2. Everyone should know the entire fanbase will be labeled as classless or 'stupid' just as the entire Houston fanbase was called out then Matt Schaub went down last week when the fans began cheering.

3. Most fans in attendance were far more distracted with the fugging t-shirt throwing crew and didn't even notice Bradford was injured.

I can testify to #3.  I didn't even know Bradford was gone until I was in the car.  Damn nosebleeds.

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
