based on his stats right now star won't win ROTY.

however i care a whole lot more about his ability to do his job, and right now he looks downright incredible.

Hard for a NT to win that award. Everyone cares about sacks at the DT spot.

Tough for a DT to win DROY.  Suh won it a few years ago but he also had like 10+ sacks.  You need eye popping numbers to win ROY and both Cam and Kuechly had those.  Star will not have eye popping stats.  

 

That said the Panthers couldn't have picked a player who'd make more of an impact so quickly.  Lotuleiei is destroying it.

KK is the bomb, but clearly needs to be rotating with Dwan more. IIRC the article said his next 20 something rushes didn't do anything.

I can't even begin to describe how happy I am with our defense.

 

We still have yet to play a QB that has challenged our DB's though, and we may not until we play Brees and Co.

 

Looking at the schedule ahead and factoring in QB play and/or injuries, it looks like the Saints will challenge our backfield, and possibly New England.

yeah, coming in second or third for rookie of the year is fantastic.  Someone with better stats wins, fine by me.

I wouldn't trade Star for any other player in that draft.

Could anyone who has PFF Premium tell me where Keek ranks in their ILB ratings in comparison to Bowman and Willis? Trying to talk a little trash but would like stats to back it up :)

Star is definitely a future all pro, but alonso has ROY on lockdown, barring injury. He'd probably still get it
