Trade Up For MIKE EVANS?

Evans is going 7th to the Bucs and no chance they allow a division rival to move ahead of them and take their guy.

I'd only be okay trading up for Lewan if he falls into the early 20s but even that is a pipe dream. I think us moving down 6-8 picks is more likely than any chance of us moving up and even Gettleman has said he tends to not be in favor of trading back because you talk yourself out of drafting a good player at your original spot.

How are teams going to cover the Browns or Bucs if they get Watkins and Evans. Watkins and Gordon don't forget Cameron and Evans with VJax - explosive

Well, unless they first address their QB issue, I'd say they will cover them by looking at their QB in a mean way and have them poo themselves and throw picks?

Both teams have below average QBs. You can have all the weapons in the world but if you don't have an at least average QB throwing them the ball then those weapons struggle to be utilized.

It is a little scary picturing Evans and Vjax on the same field.  But that is the beauty of the NFL.  It ain't supposed to be easy.

Not to mention that it will cost a hell of a lot more than a 3rd to trade up from 28 into the top 10.

As much as the Siren's song makes you want to trade up, we are not talking 5 spots here.

We are also not one player away from a Super Bowl.

Drafting is important as there are players who bust from time to time that you thought were going to be great.

Mulitple picks in this draft is the way to go, not less.

I will admit though that Evans is enticing.  Just have to stick to your guns though.

Hoyer in Cleveland showed flashes of great before ACL I think he'd find his weapons just fine and you give Josh McCown Vjax and Evans he's gonna find em even Glennon could prolly throw it up and have 1 of those monsters go n get it

I would only trade up for Robinson or Matthews if they fell to a reasonable spot. Watkins in the 20s too, but that's not happening. Mike Evans is no where near a sure #1. I would rather have Cooks, Beckham, Lee, hell even Benjamin than Evans. Evans can't get separation fast enough to succeed at an elite level in the NFL.

Why give up one to get one when we can get two?  What would it take to trade up to get him? I don't  think a first rd WR is really necessary. of course the actual pick depends on who is there and who isn't.

the way I see it we would be better off trading out of the first before trading up.

Exactly.  What good is one POSSIBLE superstar receiver if we have Bell at LT and god knows who the hell at RT?  Cam won't have time to get him the ball; if anything, let's trade down for more picks so we can get help for the tackles, get an actually decent guard, another wr or two, some corner help, and some young safeties to groom behind our older guys at the very least?  To say nothing of needing to probably replace one of CJ or Hardy, and we may need to replace Kalil in the next couple years for cap reasons...

btw using the julio jones thing is a bad example, it paid off for the falcons pretty damn good until matty ice fuggin melted in the playoffs twice

those picks they gave up didn't hurt them as much as letting key players go and the constant signing of cb they do every other year...........

looking at our o line were not in that position, could have been
