Only one time we selected a guy I truly wanted was when we got joe adams. I abosultely jizzed in my pants. And like many other jizzes, it didn't last very long.

Did not want Cam for a couple reasons

 

1.  Not enough tape of him throwing

2.  Bigger reason is that I wanted to trade down and amass extra picks, which is pretty much what I always want to do.

By no means did I "hate him" like many others did, and i knew we needed a qb, but that did little to stop my man crush on Patrick Peterson. Glad he is dominating whether it be for our team or not.

That's the only time we took someone you wanted??.. I don't know a single person who didn't want Peppers in 02 and hell I thought the board was unanimously in agreement on Star last year.

I thought he would be interesting in the 5th round or so but as a ASU grad I was not a fan of the pick. I blame Hurney indtead of hating on Edwards though.

I screamed and ran around the apartment when we drafted cam I was so happy. ( I also thought jake locker was gonna be really good too).

With kuechly I figured beast was close to done. But I had a coworker who is a fsu fan who watched him play against his team saying we just got the second coming of Ray Lewis. So I was stoked.

I was happy when Armanti was drafted but not in the second( I'll admit calling my fellow asu friends and giggling like a schoolgirl that Armanti was a panther) Clausen I was happy with. Jarrett I was elated also.

And I thought joe Adams was going to be 2 legit. 2 legit to quit. Put it this way I've been wrong wayyyyyyy more times than right

I tend to be positive about our picks. I guess I disagreed with the Cam pick but I didn't expect him to bust, I just liked someone else more.

 

I thought Dwayne Jarret and Jimmy Clausen were good "value" picks.

 

 

Just a sad memory, I remember watching the picks down in the 2nd round of the 2011 draft. The Panthers were drafting first in the 3rd round and with the last pick of the 2nd round the Packers chose Randall Cobb....Maybe it's better they chose him because if we drafted Terrel McLain over Randall Cobb I might have hurt Marty.
