What is kugbila role on the team?

He was barely injured wasn't he? No reason he should not be 100% going into camp.

Didn't Dave or Ron just address Amini and Kug last week? One of them said Kug was behind Amini in terms of health.

That ain't good IMO

I'd like to see whomever winds up as the backup also groomed as a center since Piggy and Byers are gone.

I think Turner will be the back-up at Center even if he is the starting RG.

Bouncer?

Nathans Hot Dog champ?

Guy with greatest initials, KGB?

Who knows, but I would love to get an update on this guy, like what is his current weight and progression.  TT will blow by him if he is not in good physical shape.  If TT is the real deal, the Kugzilla might be headed for his last camp

First he needs to get healthy. Then he needs to make the team, then he might get a shot if some injuries mount. If he doesn't make the team Gettleman might hire him as a personal assistant. He's a little raw when it comes to office work but you can't teach size.

didnt he only have a rucurring hamstring issue when they stashed him on IR ?  how serious can a hamstring be?

Kugbila was a 4th round pick from a small college.  He was injured (fairly seriously) his rookie season.  He is and was always developmental.  If you are writing him off now, calling him a bust etc, comparing him to Everette Brown, etc.  then you probably forgot about Evan Mathis.  He was a second rounder (I think) from a big school who needed about 2-3 years to develop.  He is now a pro-bowler.  We wrote him off too early.

Want another example?  Geoff Schwartz..  We let him go (or made not attempt to re-sign) for reasons yet to be determined.  He has been a solid G for a few teams.

So if you want to write Kugbila off after his injury-plagued rookie season, go ahead.  You probably did the same for Mathis but don't talk about that anymore.  You just refer to Everette Brown and Jimmy Clausen, as if there is a connection there.

I talked with him Saturday at the draft party and he said he was 100% ready to go and said he was expecting big things. Talk is cheap I know, but that was straight from his mouth. One thing for sure though, he's a large human.
