start hooking up my resume because common sense would tell me id be out of a job after the season. seriously, there isnt anything the FO can realistically do to turn this season around. it is up to the coaches and players if they want to win or not.

I would have a long chat with Goodell about bringing Hardy back. Right now the FO has seemingly agreed to this indefinite paid leave crap which isn't right. I'd say listen we were willing to wait until the trial but making this guy sit out an entire season in the prime of his career isn't right.

I'd then bring all the coaches, even the golden boy Ricky Proehl, into my office and say if y'all want to continue to be employed you need to be exponentially better at your jobs. Each and every coach has poo the bed entirely this year.

I also make a formal request to the NFL to never, ever, EVER, have a nationally televised Panthers game again. Even the playoffs need to be a regionally broadcast affair only. If we make it to the Superbowl switch it to $1000 PPV so nobody can watch it, because the ass beatings this team takes on the national stage are unbearable.

from a gm's perspective, this season is toast.

 

as an offensive coordinator, i'd run a run heavy spread offense w/stewart as the primary back. everything would be based on play action.

 

the offense would run thru stewart and not newton...much the same way seattle's offense runs thru lynch.

The obvious thing to do is fire Shula and let Ramdsell prove himself.

 

Cut Harper and advice Goodell to put Bell and Chandler on the magic list.

Shula is first. Stop the read option and let our 50 million dollar backfield run the ball more behind regular running formations. Stew gets a good run they either don't go to him next play or he comes out

Defense wise Bene needs to come back. Harper needs to be on the bench. Not much else can be done. Our secondary flat out is slow

If I were in control of the team, the reactionary thing to do would be to fire the guy in control of the team. 

 

We have a lot of talented pieces on the team but we have an equal or greater number of holes

I would let this horrible team continue to loose so we can get top draft picks while also giving young unproven players to prove them self for the future. At the end of the season I would fire the entire staff and find a great coach from a winning franchise. Packers, patriots, Seahawks or 49ers would be a good choice for me. I wouldn't be against sitting cam for the rest of the season to prevent further injuries and possibly keep his trade value.

I'd make the big move and fire Rivera, Ray Brown, Matsko, and Shula right now.  May sound harsh but getting rid of Shula can only do so much and it just sets the writing on the wall for Ron and his staff.  Getting blown out in 4 games just before the halfway point is terrible.  Also, if it's just Shula, Ron will get all risky again doing the silly "riverboat" stuff and it's just beyond saving.  I don't want a guy who can't always get the team to bring it...he only does when he has a gun pointed at his head.  

 

Then, promote McDermott, Ramsdell OC and maybe that could give the team some type of spark for at least the rest of the year.  Rivera has proven to all of us in 4-years that he really only becomes a good HC when he's against the wall.    

 

I would plan on playing Cam through probably Week 15 and if we're out of the playoff race, rest him for the last two games.

I would promote Ramsdell (or whatever his name is) to OC.  As much as I defended Shula it's time to move on. I don't believe there is a whole lot else that can be done now.
