pretend that i didn't watch and forgot to record the game because my daughter was in a parade today and i was out while the game happened and didn't get home until there was two minutes left in the game and was shocked to see us up 41-10.

 

i really want to know what happened.

 

did the offense and defense really just blow poo up today? where was this team all year? was it just a case of the saints really sucking? is what was seen today sustainable?

Panthers were firing on all cylinders

It was an absolute great showing. Offensively and defensively. I would say the Panthers played excellent; as opposed to the Saints just playing bad. Special teams was still atrocious however.

Riverboat woke up and took over the game plan this week.  This only happens when Rivera's job is on the line.

We played against a bad team.

We opened with a game with Williams on the bench.....and Newton and Stewart causes a defense to play the run and our entire O was able to play of the rush impact all day.

Defense? No clue. Pass rush occured. Brees never got comfortable. Can't explain what changed there

Panthers were firing on all cylinders

Well..except special teams.  Our punt coverage was pretty pathetic.  Aside from that, we pantsed them and went in dry.

Stewart was starting and getting 90% of the carries. Cam threw the ball well off that. Defense played like it was 2013

We can't lose sight of the fact that the saints were 5-7 coming into this game and just not very good.  We out played a team that was no better than us.

 

 

We didn't just beat the Packers.

We did play a bad team but this season, we have been unable to perform when we played against bad teams so hopefully we are on the upswing.

saints are a bad team but they have also been competitive with good teams.

 

we kicked them in the mouth from the get go and didn't let off. even with some blunders

I didn't watch but my best guess is Rivera was told he was going to be fired at the end of the month and so that is when he decided to coach.
