So what is the expectation next year, NFCC game?

So what should we or even what do you expect the team to be next year? What do you think is reasonable?

I have to think absolutely playoffs, I mean we did finish with a losing record, so at least something like 10-6?

Playoff wise, it is time for the team to take the next step.

Gotta be at least 11-5 in my opinion. Cake schedule playing NFC South and AFC South. Win a playoff game after going 11-5 should be our floor. Ceiling obviously Super Bowl win. I don't think it's that much of a stretch to think that we could be Super Bowl contenders next year. Expectation is always Super Bowl win, but I wouldn't be disappointed in 11-5 and a playoff win.

I think the overall regular season record isn't that important, as long as your winning the division and making the playoffs.

the only time the record really matters is if you're shooting for the top seed. In that case, no less than 13 wins.

I just expect improvement in every phase of the game = Playoffs.

IF Gettlemen has another big offseason (free agents like he did in 2013, rookies like he did in 2014)

IF we stay injury free

IF Cam becomes more consistent (which should happen due to maturity, off season work, improved weapons protection)

IF the 2014 rookies get better

Why not the Super Bowl?  We played Seattle tough in Seattle in a year we didn't have the weapons.  We get all big names back.  Why not?

    • I don't believe this at all.
    • His PPG actually did go up a little in Colorado. We will see. I still sort of believe we saw pretty close to the peak of his abilities last year. Not wishing him ill or trashing him in any way. Just tend to believe we did sell high and correctly so.
    • Well, other teams also had an offseason. I honestly agree with him. Right now I have way more faith in Coker ascending then I do XL. I think it's the TE/WR group dragging us down. Plus he does mention that the list was made with WR's very much valued more than RB's and TE's(I understand the thought process). In that context, we have a very aging AT, two "wait and see" second year players(one leaning bust) and a rookie.  I really think this is a very fair rating, on paper and in the offseason. Quite frankly, aside from the aforementioned and aging AT, this is a bunch of guys still trying to prove themselves.  Then when you go to TE, it's easily a bottom 3-4 unit on paper. That is probably being extremely generous.  RB is where we make our hay. Probably a top 5-10 unit. But....he mentions early in the article that he doesn't value the RB units as much.  So, really, it's the weighting of the skill positions that is what really fugs us.
